Story

Climb the stairs of Winnipeg's historic Union Station to tracks 1 and 2, where you will discover approximately 37,500 square feet is filled with railway artifacts, many more than we are able to picture here.
View the first steam locomotive on the Canadian Prairies, The Countess of Dufferin. Continue on and view an early-generation diesel locomotive just like the ones still used today.
There are 2 tracks filled from end to end of the museum which are both 750 feet in length. Tracks 1 & 2 which both contain actual trains and equipment. Then there are platforms 1 & 2 which are both filled with displays, artifacts and railway related vehicles, trucks, fire trucks from both railways.

It's very affordable for a little family trip. They have a great diversity of historic trains,classic trucks and cars cars. The kids and us were very excited to go on the trains and check out old lugagge, telegraphs, type writters, and other interesting artifacts. The staff there is all volunteers and they are super friendly.
I said there is no such thing as a museum when it comes to something like this just let us know when and where the revivals will be if you can as travel guides if you could please make sure everything is safe and secure along the route we just need assurances that it'll remain a show thank you with love and affection a highway man

It was a very interesting and intriguing place to visit with my family. I am glad we went. Definitely an experience I am glad I was able to have.
It's a must see place. Costing less than 10 CAD. You can walk to the history of Canadian railways. You may be the solo visitor as you cannot find much people around during off seasons. The staff was really friendly. The roof top is not fully covered so don't expect warm temperatures. The entrance is from inside the railway station.
A great collection. One of the best in Western Canada. if you are a rail fun, you may want to check this place out
