Beautiful, quaint little restaurant in the beautiful village of a Elora. Nice and cozy on a cool morning. We had a seat by the window which was nice to watch folks walking by. The hostess/server was exceptional as was the young lady that keep us topped up with coffee. If you order a carafe, it is kept hot and when pouring…no drips!!! The breakfast was very flavourful, bacon was nice and meaty, the sausage was a nice touch, sourdough toast was a little crispy for my liking. We will go again and you should GO!
We visited today for Afternoon Tea. Everything was wonderful. We sat upstairs which was nice because it was a little more quiet as we were celebrating as a family. Beautiful atmosphere, staff were nice and very helpful. Food was delicious. Not sure what the other negative reviews are on about. We had a great meal and experience. Will definitely return.
I LOVED LOVED LOVED my second time at The Wild Tart and my first and soul satisfying experience having the Classic Afternoon tea with a pot of Chai tea which I highly recommend. Everything was PERFECT! A BIG Thank you to Keira, Eve, Katie, James, Geoffrey and the talented chef and kitchen staff for helping me to have a most delicious, beautiful and memorable experience! From my vantage point, I could see the interactions between the staff and customers and I was very impressed by the consistently warm, positive and friendly welcome and service that each customer received. If you haven't tried this gorgeous European inspired restaurant and Afternoon Tea place, what are you waiting for? I highly recommend you check it out and I know you will LOVE it and will become a regular customer like me!
Enjoyed Afternoon Tea at the Wild Tart a short while ago. The venue is A+ in terms of both the tea room and the town of Elora. The scones were small but tasted fine - it's great how they get their butter to be the perfect spreadable temperature! The sandwiches were very small and the filings were sparse; taste was fine. Sweets were all VERY pretty but the flavours were a bit "meh" - Nothing made us say "yum". Tea selection is good and they have the Pluck verbena tea that changes colour with lemon; that's fun! Have never sat on the patio; maybe next time! Overall this Afternoon Tea is very instagramable with it's "high class" look. The actual bites were lack-lustre for us. We recommend the Wild Tart for pretty photos in a beautiful setting! #OntarioTeaRooms
My friend invited me to join her in a tasting menu and it was a wonderful experience! Staff was friendly, food was phenomenal especially that palate cleanser but I'm just a huge cheese fan! Everything on the menu that night was divine and we plan on going again soon! Such a great experience overall.
My family and I came here to celebrate my 28th birthday. And let me tell you something: DO NOT LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS. This place is such a gem; it is elegant without the expectation that guests be insanely elegant either. Everyone who came in was greeted with a smile and very friendly attitude. And the food is to die for. It is so flavourful and everything tastes so fresh and delicious. I cannot recommend the premium high tea enough because what you get with it is the most divine food I’ve had in a long time. The gazpacho alone was out of this world and bursting with beautifully complex flavours that were sensational to experience. And the savoury bites included with our tea were nothing short of miraculous. I am someone who really enjoys good food and can tell that these guys put a lot of love and care into everything they make so that it isn’t just food - its an experience. We all also had different teas and each one was bursting with flavour and smelled heavenly. We will definitely be back soon for more!!!
Went for an Afternoon Tea Date here recently. While it is on the pricey side the quality of the food is outstanding. The atmosphere is quiet and lovely; we sat upstairs where it was a little less busy.Food: 5/5
Food was good. Service was meh. the lady with glasses was very rude. After we first entered, she was extremely impatient when she heard we don't have a reservation. The thing is, we called a few times and the phone was never picked up by the restaurant staff. During lunch, she poured a glass of wine on to the lady behind us by accident. We also asked her to add water and she never came. Actually, we had to ask 3 different servers to finally get our water and tea pot refilled. So yeah I guess the service for the whole restaurant is just meh. But the rest of them were at least very friendly compare to the lady mentioned above. Be prepared to fight flies and wasps while you eat regardless you are sitting indoor or on the patio. The food and the tea were good, but it was very difficult to enjoy them while fighting the flies and wasps.
We had a delicious breakfast on their beautiful back patio. The patio is a peaceful space which is nestled in the back, surrounded by beautiful greenery. I loved the fresh gerbera daisies on each table. Everything was amazing; the setting, the service, the glassware, the coffee, and the colourful tea over ice. The highlight was the eggs benedict with very fresh eggs, and an amazing sauce. Wow.
I liked their tea selection, but their afternoon tea is way overpriced. The scones were good, but their desserts were simply underwhelming. Moreover, the service was mediocre considering no one offered to refill my tea pot. Lastly, I ordered coffee which never came yet it was charged on the bill.
