Spent an evening here to celebrate our engagement and could not have been more pleased. The staff were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable about the menu & wine list, the food was outstanding, and the setting is gorgeous. Will definitely go again the next time I'm in the Chautauqua area.
We loved it! We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and had a fantastic time. The meal prepared by Brian was unbelievably delicious. Our taste buds have been elevated to a new level.
A truly elegant dining experience. My husband and I had a 7-course Chef's Tasting that was wonderfully crafted and very thoughtfully prepared by Chef Brian Kiendl. The flavors were incredible and unlike anything I have ever tasted. The ambience is romantic and beautiful and the staff attentive and pleasant. I look forward to returning to The White Carrot again this summer.
I cannot say enough good things about this place - simply excellent. From the food, atmosphere, and service to the wine pairing selection and timing of courses - this was honestly one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Whether you are visiting beautiful Chautauqua Lake for the summer, or live in the area year-round, you must make the White Carrot part of your dining experience. The food is simply phenomenal. Thanks White Carrot for an amazing meal!
Celebrated our anniversary here. We had excellent service and the meal was amazing. We enjoyed the smaller portions, as we were able to focus more on the subtle tastes and flavors. Jason, our server, was very attentive and thoughtful. We will definitely be returning.
The white carrot is an awesome resturant. Andrew at the bar was so helpful getting us a bottle of wine. Lauren the hostess was great. She kept coming over and checking on us. Then our waiter Jason was superior. We got the chef tasting 7 courses. Each was better then the one before. I had the wine pairing with each course. Just a wonderful experience. I recommend the white carrot.
Went to the White Carrot for my in-laws 55th anniversary ......it was an incredible culinary experience. We had a beautiful table in the patio area and experienced the 3 course menu with the wine paring. Our server Jason was knowledgeable and provided outstanding service..... the food was 5 star all the way. I'm so happy the White Carrot is only a few miles from home ..... can't wait to go back
The food was amazing! We had the wine pairing with the prix fix menu and the pairing was spot on. Highly recommend trying the butternut squash panne cotta if it's on the menu. Only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is they tried to charge us each $10 more than advertised for the pairing. I wonder how many people didn't notice before us, because the waitress said it was in the computer that way.
The White Carrot has been open approximately one month and tonight was my third meal there. Each dining experience has been excellent. The location, they renovated/converted the old Mazza Winery, is lovely; there is seating outside with a view of the restaurant's garden and if you time it right a great sunset. The interior is inviting with a beautiful bar and a good mix of seating. You can easily eat at the bar on a week night; I did so this evening. Chef Brian Kiendl has a clear commitment to seasonal, locally sourced ingredients; his menu is continuously evolving based on what is available. The craft cocktail menu, created by Jennifer Kiendl, the chef's sister, has unique and creative options focused on seasonal, local ingredients as well. Tonight I intended to order the aged NY strip; when I saw tonight's menu I couldn't resist ordering the Farro Island salmon with local squashes. The salmon was perfectly cooked with crisp crust; it was presented on a delicate squash puree, tiny exquisitely diced apple, and two quenelles of squash. It was delicious!
