Super good food, amazing french fries! Worth the 45 minute drive... for the food. Can't understand the fee we were charged for not paying in cash though. It's 2023. We spent over $40 and got upcharged for using a card. Isn't that just a cost of business at this point? I'm not spending a couple bucks at a gas station. The food is great. The practice of charging your customers for using the most common for of payment is kind of insulting.
My family and I were here for the first night of a three day excursion kn Wahoo for a funeral. The Wheel House staff and patrons were nothing but kind and super accommodating. We had a party of 15 of us, and I have dietary restrictions, but the waitress kept up with everyone, laughed and joked with us, and made sure she was keeping in compliance with my food sensitivity! Wonderful wonderful wonderful. Oh, did I mention wonderful?! Thank you guys for hosting our family and being so friendly!
Came across the Wheel House on a day adventure. The service was fantastic...we heard some fun ghost stories about the buildings downtown. The food was great...hand cut french fries! And the drinks...
This place was great. Was there with a big group and that was no problem for them. Cheers!
Actually ate there before reading the reviews. We had 2 appetizers. The cheese curds and the fried mushrooms. Both were outstanding and the size of the orders were incredible. Three adults had burgers that were also very good. 3 Kids meals were finished completely. Yes it could have had a more conscientious waitress, but there were only two people outside the kitchen. After reading the reviews its possible things are improving. I'd still recommend it.
For a bar the food is really good. It's not just a bunch of premade stuff they throw in a fryer either. The fries were hand cut.
Nice atmosphere and great staff. Pork tenderloin was massive and good.
Fries were disgusting. Burned and super soggy. They smelled horrible! I believe they were previously cooked, cooled and refried. Waitress tried to tell me thats how they always are. Just gross!
Been here an hour waiting on food for the kids and have to go and get refills for drinks at the bar. No customer service
My food was alright. My pickle fries were left in the frier way to long my server Mel however was amazing her hospitality definitely made up for the shityness of my food
