Went to a fish shop and had a meat pie! It was great. 10 out of 10. Big pieces of steak, beautiful gravy, and great pastry! My wife enjoyed the halibut, and we both had chips which were excellent. We also both had the lemonade and again we both enjoyed it. I should add that the tables were well spaced, with the "covid 6 feet " allowance. All in all a great surprise and an excellent meal. We'll be sure to return, and took 4 meat pies to do us until we do.
The Best Fish and Chip Shop outside of Scotland. Under new ownership, and I was worried that with the previous British owners no longer here, that the quality of service and food would fall off. Not a problem at all. Everything was better than ever. Fish and chips were cooked to perfection. The absolute best chips or French fries anywhere. The service from the very busy owner / waitress was outstanding. Could not have enjoyed it any more.
The most fresh and amazing fish and chips! Came here and was surprisingly unexpected. The fish was crispy and not too greasy. The lady was so pleasant and even though she was alone she was making sure every order got out and people got served. If we lived around here we would definitely come back. Will have to hit it up next time we are in town! Thank you for an amazing dinner. We had the all you can eat cod.
In my quest to find the best fish 'n chips around the lower mainland, The Wee Chippie is very solid. Great pricing, great food. I'd definitely recommend hitting this place up. Not fancy, no frills. Just get what you are expecting. I also ordered the deep fried oysters, I love these things for some reason. Here, they were so-so. I've definitely had better and not something I'd get again. Drove a good distance to come here, was disappointed they were not offering dine in during this visit. I wasn't anticipating eating in my car. Regardless, I'll definitely be back for F&C!
One of the best battered fish and chips I’ve had. They also do all you can eat fish and chips.
Got delivery, which was very quick because I live close by.. I still ended up refreshing the fish and chips in my air fryer to crispy them up again.. the tartar sauce is really gross, way too sweet.. I ordered extra because I normally love tartar, but not this one. I was sent ranch for the popcorn shrimp, even though cocktail sauce is pictured.. the portions were big, the fish was tasty.. but I'm undecided if I will order again.
I hate to give a bad review for the new owners and I hope they can do better in the future because I would like to see them succeed. I ordered the seafood platter. The fish and chips were all right but the rest was very poor. The two scallops were smaller than a dime, I'm not exaggerating, they were pitiful. The oyster and prawns weren't much better. The price was about 22 dollars. The decor is plain which is fine and the service was polite. It will be sometime before I return to this place.
This place has new owners but they've kept everything the same! The portions are large and generous, fish is always cooked perfectly with crispy and not very greasy batter and the chips are perfect! A great place to order from and a staple for my family. Parking: Parking is right out front of the building which has multiple businesses. Can get busy but you can always fond a parking spot nearby.
I have been going to this Fish & Chip shop for many, many years, never a problem, always consistent portions and quality excellent. Today we ordered a 1 piece Halibut and a 2 piece Halibut. The 2 piece Halibut has always come in a larger box and had large chips, but not today! In actual fact the 1 piece Halibut had more chips than the 2 piece! See photos. I did ask about this as I was perturbed, I was told that they have been giving the 1 piece Halibut more chips! No idea why the size of the box for the 2 piece is now the same as the 1 piece and the 2 piece has less chips. We live about 5 minutes away and ate as soon as we got home. The chips were “stale” and cold, the fish was cold. This was the same for both orders. The restaurant has new owners, I don’t know if that is the reason for the change, it has not been like this before. I did see another recent review as I went to write this saying food was cold.
This is hands down one of the Best Fish and Chips places anywhere in the Lower Mainland!!! Great options, not just Halibut or Cod but also Salmon and chips. Staff are really friendly and work really quickly to get your order made fresh and hot. You can also place your order ahead of time and still get it nice and hot. Great atmosphere, fair price for really great food and a nice homey restaurant for a family or intimate gathering. Even good for business lunch/dinner. One of my favorite places for a meal. Parking: Lots of parking and easy to get into and out of.
