It's literally just a Wave Pool. Compared to other community centers nearby, there really isn't much of an advantage to going here compared to Elgin West or Oak Ridges. The pool is very similarly sized to there, so if you are looking for swimming lessons, go to one of those two. If you are looking for a hot tub as well as slides, than go with this community center. If you are looking for time to chill with family and have fun with kids under the age of 10, than go with Elgin West or Oak Ridges. I'm specifically mentioning Elgin West and Oak Ridges because Elgin West is less than 10 minutes away & still pretty good, and Oak Ridges is extremely big. Not the pool, but the community center itself. It is placed in a good location though with a lot of food and travel options nearby, and it placed directly beside the central library. I personally enjoy the slides, it is big with lights inside and doesn't bonk your head.
My daughter taking swiming classes there. Instructor is really good and using full time of the lesson to maximize the results. In a day time during a week it is nice and quite, no jam in the changing room or in the the showers. Waiting area is upstairs, plenty of seating for parents.
Due to the pool not being used they’ve used the space to help those in the community. I wish all businesses had this sort of mindset. Well done!
I was wondering if the wave pool is ever opening up, I thought I read it was supposed to open as of January 5. Would like to bring the kids for the winter, thanks.
We were there today. It was a really nice decent sized pool. Not too crowded and lots of life guards. They were constantly counting around the kids pool to ensure it wouldn't get too crowded. The water is pretty clean and the pool area is well maintained. Upstairs theres an observation deck so those who aren't swimming can overlook their families and kids. Pretty reasonably priced. Their price breakdown is available on their website.2 thumbs up...
Awesome!! Autumn, Spring, Summer, Winter all year round. This is the family fun indoor Wave Pool to be. Spacious, lovely atmosphere, my daughter loves it...
This pool was quite unique. Never been before and found it using Google. Was quite impressed with the whole setup and the water slide my awesome. My daughter loved going down it multiple times. It was a but pricey for the family and I go to $30 roughly. There was alot of chlorine in the pool which triggered our asthma but it's like that at most pools these days. Lots of life guards always watching the pool. Down fall was at the end of the swim they expected everyone out of the pool by 7 and everyone out of the change rooms and building by 715. That did not happen but no one came in and said anything. I would go back for sure
Great place to have fun with the hole family. Even though the poll was full, still was clean. The only thing that bothered me was that there was few washroom, but is just to planned yourself to leave the pool earlier than everybody and use them while available. Also there are lots of lifeguards and is easy to parking outside. Definitely will come back.
This swimming pool is a great place to spend your weekend in the cold winter or in the heat of summer. It’s a lot cleaner than most public pools, the price is reasonable and the lifeguards are friendly. Take your towels and if you are like me, a pair of poolside shoes/flip flops. There is a large pool where mostly families play with their kids and adults play water volleyball or swim. There is also an on-deck sauna which is very popular. Showers and changing rooms get super crowded when swimming hours are over, so make sure you leave the pool 10 to 5 minutes earlier.
Nice pool. Good sized. Features a wave function every 30 mins lasting for about 10 mins. Has a water slide and jet/whirlpool area. Locker room isn't that big and lacks enough shower facilities. Price is a little high for a community facility. Though I guess it's because of the number of life guards that need to be in attendance. When going as a family, it's not that bad.
