Poutine was delicious. I ordered the fisherman’s platter the fish was outstanding but the fries were soggy and the shrimp tasted like frozen shrimp. Beautiful scenery amazing weather to enjoy the meal outside and good customer service.
Decided to drive into Carleton place for lunch and so glad we did. We had a lovely lunch at this restaurant. Waitress was so pleasant and recommended a few items when I asked what’s popular… I chose the beef dip. Huge portion. Fries were awesome too. Such a nice view. Didn’t even feel like I was in Ontario! Will definitely return. Free parking too!
We went for a late lunch here, and enjoyed it except for one small thing. My wife ordered the fish and chips. She said the fish was very good. The "chips" were homemade, and as good as or better than any chip wagon. I ordered the chicken fingers, though something else was brought by mistake. I immediately pointed out that I had ordered chicken fingers, and waitress took away the plat apologizing. She came back and apologized again, and offered me my beer for free. Well played! Only issue was the correct plate then came out way too fast. I'm guessing they rushed it to fix the issue as quickly as possible, but it was too quick. Some of the chicken was not well cooked, and quite pink inside. The fries were also not well cooked inside. Too bad, because my wife's fries were among the best I've had. I ate what I could of mine, then some of hers!. The pub is in a perfect location on the side of the river, and a perfect place to spend a warm afternoon. They have a good selection of beers too. I won't hold that issue against them, as they tried to solve the issue quickly. The service was excellent, and the error was well-handled otherwise. We'll go back - but if there's a mistake, I will certainly ask them to take their time rectifying it!
The food is tasty and the portions are big, the place has a nice view with live music. The waitress was not very friendly but overall the place is nice and the food is good.
Great location and fantastic food. Specifically recommend fish and chips, definitely the best in the area. Service is very friendly and fast. Definitely recommend this place for mid- day lunch or evening food and drink. On the separate note, there is a large parking space right in front of the place. Patio sitting in gorgeous, but filling in fast, you might want to call to reserve the spot right next to the river.
Delicious Food with an amazing view !! Place was super clean , great patio , amazing service , waitress recommended the fish and it was DELICIOUS !! Started off with some drink , then got our mains , Fish and ships fisherman’s platter Buffalo chicken wrap and club wrap !! Highly recommend this place , worth the drive, will definitely be back !

Nice place on the water but the food could definitely be improved. Quite expensive for what it was.
