What a fantastic store! Everything from the setting to the food little bakery and deli counter inside with patio overlooking a waterfall outside to the store with clothing, gifts, unique local jewelry and more! There’s food and wine for a picnic, too. A perfect stop while driving back roads to peep the leaves.
A nice store, with a variety of locally created items. They sell food like cookies and candy, but also sandwhiches and other food that is made right there. The food we got was delicious. Some of the items for sale were expensive. There was a swim suit for $84 which is a bit high, but there were a variety of more reasonably priced items.
The staff was friendly Food was great. Location is really cool. Spot on with the selections. The young ladies that were behind the counter made the stop enjoyable. Friendly. Quick service. Great stop and a happy accident in our Vermont excursion.
Another quintessential Vermont country store. Very easy-to-find off Route 100 with parking in front of the store and also on the street. Space to sit on the deck overlooking the falls to enjoy any food that you may order inside. The store boasts a good selection of beer and wine, prepared foods including daily specials, any staples that you may need to replenish your pantry, and lots of great clothing and other general items that you might need.
I used to work here back in 2015 in the deli, when it was much smaller. I visited today for the first time since. Inside has changed greatly, so if you liked the old Vermont hodgepodge store, unfortunately you are out of luck. However, the deli is better than ever. They still carry old favorites and the soups are hands down the best I've ever had. A bit expensive but that French onion soup deserves the 5 star.
Always enjoy stopping by the store, after a day skiing at Sugarbush! Arrived just before closing. We had an extra nice and helpful lady with our pastry purchase.
It’s unfortunate that on Easter Sunday today, just having gone to church at Warren United Church across the street, I’d stop by Warren Country Store and would have a racist experience! As soon as I walked in with my fiance’, this older female clerk with long hair came behind the register and started following the both of us around the lower level of the store. She never asked us if we needed anything but made a point to watch me. Uncomfortable & unnecessary. The other staff member, a young man, upstairs was nice. However, one bad experience with one employee ruined it for me. Following the Golden Rule has everybody win. Good luck, Warren Country Store
Still a big fan despite the change in ownership. Get "the family" if you're looking for a delicious sammy and always walk through the upstairs shop as well. You never know what you'll find up there.
We used to love this place a lot, and I fully know those that work there are hard working and great people, but the food seemed a bit lackluster last time we visited. Sandwiches were under salted and some of the pastries weren't great. For instance the scone I got was nothing like what I know a scone to be, it was more like a dry madeleine cookie and I love eating scones. We've heard it's gone under new management but hope that quality comes back up!
Love this place. So many cool knickknacks and beers and foods. I got a salmon sandwich and it might possibly be he best "lunch sandwich" I've ever had. They also have this sparkling fruit juice stuff for $5 that is totally worth it. Great pastries and such an old time looking place that, if for no other reason, you should just go and check it out.
