Amazing mountain. Came from North Carolina and everyone here was super friendly and helpful to any questions I had. Plenty of terrain for all skill levels and the snow quality on the groomers was better than I have ever had. It hadn't snowed for a couple of days and there was still fresh powder all over. This will likely be an annual trip for us.
Brundage is always a special place to ride. Low crowds, good food, and good vibes. I took some buddies from the east coast up there and we basically lapped hidden valley for 4 days straight. Some absolutely insane and incredible terrain back there. On our final day I did something I haven’t done with the resort in the past, I got a guided snowmobile tour on their 850 summit fleet. Our guide was Chad and he was nothing short of awesome. Took us of trail, hill climbing, and lake racing. We had a couple guys that had never ridden before and he was able to get them mostly keeping up with the rest of us. If you’re planning a trip to this mountain I would definitely look into the snowmobile rides. It may be a little spendy but it is worth every dollar
We did the 1/2 day snowmobile tour. We had an amazing guide, Anita, who took us all around the mountain and showed us some beautiful views. I highly recommend it.
Super friendly staff and overall laid back family vibe. Good view at the top. The blue runs can be a bit steeper than other resort ratings.
Been boarding here for a decade. The snow is good! The lines are usually short. It has gotten busier over the last few years. Best tree skiing around.
Chairlift runs in the off season to take hikers and bikers to the top. Expansive mountain views and a peek of Payette Lake await at the top of the lift. Dizzy Duzz Brundate Mountain!
Great family friendly ski mountain. Not too busy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. If you reserve lift tickets and rentals in advance, your wait times are much reduced.
Brundage was excellent. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the lack of a good park. A terrain park is the right hand of a ski resort. It's not everything but it is a very important part. I loved Brundage for It's excellent snow and excellent staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful and trying to help you have an enjoyable experience. Their food and services are at a very high standard and they obviously hire the best hands. Again this is a five star mountain with the best of everything, except a professional terrain park.
Best snow in Idaho… if you can get too it. The last couple years their one and only high speed quad chair has been down repeatedly and when it does break down, it’s usually for most of the day. The dining area is half the size as it needs to be, especially on full days you’ll be lucky to get a seat. Also, the chair lift operators are poorly trained in properly guiding the lines. Don’t be surprised to see one or too heated arguments each day as customers are largely left to their own to police the lines and all it takes is one knucklehead cutting in front to get people riled up. Added one star for the great snow, but the overall experience at Brundage is not great compared to other local resort. And if you’re used to resorts in Utah, Colorado, or Sun Valley, you will be very disappointed.
The bad: No parking lot attendant directing you to park on a busy Saturday led to mayhem in the lot. Then the ski rental "cubicle" is too small for the demand. The lady charged me wrong, and directed me to the wrong line, putting me on a 40 minute wild goose chase for the correct cost and line to get skis. The lift lines are oriented in ways that don't make sense for a developing queue. The mid mountain Bear Den restaurant was all out of food and the main restaurant had no signs whatsoever telling you where to order for outside seating. Also, nothing seemed groomed the day after a powder day. This always makes me frustrated having kids on the hill, as groomed runs are kid friendly and so that pushes us to green runs only. The ski school attendant had zero customer service. Didn't explain the process, cost, or time commitment, I had to ask all the questions, and it was a staggering $175 for 1.5 hrs. The goods: the terrain was aggressive and direct. Very little draws that would slow you down or get you stuck. Overall, most of my complaints had to deal with the operations. If you are not interfacing with staff or come here on a weekday, I am sure you'll love the terrain. If you want a professional customer experience, go elsewhere.
