We are here for lunch on our way back to Rockford. The burgers and fries were excellent. Loaded fries were good though you get a point off for the bacos for the bacon pieces the dressing and cheese made up for them. I ordered the willy burger it was delicious.

Great Ice Cream! Great Service and Great Atmosphere! We had 7 kids and 2 adults. Service was quick, friendly and efficient! The kiddos loved their ice cream and the shop as a whole! Highly recommend! So many ice cream flavors!

Wonderful ice cream place, nostalgic feel and lots to choose on the menu. Just had a banana split, But others had shakes, and many other concoctions.nLots of really great flavors to pick from.nnWe did overwhelm them with about 30 people in our group, but they did a great job of serving us in a timely manner and reserve the back room for us.

Rude waitstaff, complicated ordering, and overpriced food fried in dirty oil. A local establishment trying to compete with corporate franchises just needs to do better. You won't skate by on community goodwill forever, no matter how much nostalgia people have for the place.

I visited this place with my wife earlier this month primarily because it was highly recommended by the Freeport Art museum director as a nice nostalgic ice cream/hamburger shop. Truthfully I was not impressed, the food was average for two basic meals. I had the chicken sandwich & my wife had a cheeseburger, it was no different then we could have made at home. But the prices were not in line for a basic meal. We asked for napkins with our meals & our server, a little blonde haired young man casually referred us to the paper towel holders hanging around the restaurant. The kind you find in public restrooms. I just felt that could have been better on the premise that they sit just outside of where the famous Lincoln/Douglas debate took place.
