Staff was amazing. They ONLY do take out, which is fine as we just ate in the hotel room. Pho soup doesn't use real pho broth, more of a beef broth. Not authentic Pho. Mac n cheese uses real cheese, very tasty. Beef brisket poor boy was extremely good.
The food was really really good here. Was pleasantly surprised how good it was. The guy working there was very friendly and kind. Genuinely loved being there and it showed.nnHe didn't have any plastic utensils and insisted we take the metal utensils he had there. I've never experienced such kindness in a restaurant like that before.
Take out only but the chef is wonderfully engaging as he prepares some of the most delicious and hearty hot sandwiches you’ll ever eat so it’s worth sticking around. Haven’t tried the Gong Bao or Pho yet but I have very high hopes.
Just the right balance of smoked-salty-sweetness! Loved the Asian wrap with fresh and pickled vegetables and smoked salmon. Michel delivered the order to us at Rossland Brewing Company next door. Amazing service and warm atmosphere all around!
Just go. Do yourself the favor. Stop reading the reviews and just go.nnRemember it's take out only, but I took my sandwich across the road to the Brewery which was actually even better so I got a local beer to pair with my pulled pork masterpiece. I smoke meat at home and I'm a total smoked meat snob and this pulled pork po boy blew my socks off. You know it's a good po boy when you need to go take a shower once you're finished.nnI'll be back. I'll bring others. Long live the Underbelly.
