What an amazing night! I was skeptical when I heard it was to be an 8 course tasting menu. In the past that has meant fussy, little portions of 'trying too hard' in the middle of a massive plate. Not here!! Amazing flavours, rich textures and spectacular presentation at each course. SO GOOD. Billy and his staff also took extremely good care of our large group, the night went off without a hitch. I've shared my pics and experience with several friends up there already and I'd go back for sure!
Probably THE best multi-course plant-based dining experience I have ever had. As a primarily plant-based eater I reaaaally appreciate that the kitchen team has clearly put so much thought and love into their offerings for people like me. Everything was excellent - food, drinks, service and ambiance. Incredible!
I attended a Christmas party here tonight and was blown away by how good the food was! From the Scallops to the Hen of the Woods, to my beef, each course was an outstanding balance of flavours deliberately paired to elicit pure joy! The staff were polite, personable and professional. They left no doubt that you were in good hands and that you were about to experience a remarkably good meal.
Lovely atmosphere, great place for a date. The food is amazing!! Can't wait to go back and try other dishes. The gnocchi stands out to me because I've had great gnocchi but theirs was the best I've ever had!! I also got a chance to meet the owners and they are the loveliest! They are so welcoming : Definitely a must go when in the area.
Lovely fine dining in cottage country! Service was excellent & the food was delicious. We had the 5-course menu. Each course was delicious but it was in smaller portion. Love the hen of the woods / mushroom, very unique and tasty! Not completely full by the end and price was on the higher end, but definitely worth a try. Would definitely recommend!
Stayed at a cabin nearby and decided to venture out for dinner. Found The Tremont. 8 course tasting menu for $120 is unheard of. From Toronto and the portions, presentation, the quality and the dishes themselves is easily $200. This was so worth it. Our server was so attentive and knowledgable. The wine pairings were for the most part spot on, but very enjoyable. This was such a great find and we cannot wait to come back. Mike et Pierre
Flavours are incredible!! Even for dishes with what seems like simple ingredients such as the falafel or pork belly appetizers, the flavours are elevated with so much depth, balance of textures, and just cooked perfectly. The entrées we had arctic char and steak frites were DELICIOUS. Similar to the appetizers, flavours were on point and both dishes were so tender. They are also more filling than it looks. The sticky toffee dessert was amazing as well - tastes a lot better than I imagined and would highly recommend.
I rarely write reviews, but here I had to. Came here yesterday night with my gal friend and we were both blown away. The exact 8-course meal we had are featured already in Valery A.'s April 2022 photos I don't know Valery, but she's a better photographer than I am!, and we were served by a joyful, snow-white haired woman. I want to be surprised, challenged a bit, and leave this type of meal feeling full and happy--and I was/did. This was essentially a Michelin-type experience without flying to Europe or Japan. Highlights for me were the outstanding starter salad; sweetbread with Lebanese couscous wanted to try sweetbread after it was featured in Ratatouille, and it was delightful paired with those chewy pearls; perfectly crusted yet tender halibut; dense and meaty hen-of-the-wood with crispy fronds also first time trying. I did not know whether I would like the wagyu steak tartare and I was surprised that I did. The Mediterranean influence using some fresh seasonal Canadian ingredients, executed wonderfully and served with enthusiasm...I can't imagine anyone not having a great time. I'll be back. My friend's bringing her husband next time.
My husband and dined here tonight, and we had such an amazing, memorable experience we had to write a same day review. Our waiter Chaz sorry if we're not spelling that correctly was amazing, he gave us great recommendations and was very attentive and entertaining. The food, the service and the experience was remarkable. Thank you!
Came here to celebrate a bachelorette from out of town and received the warmest service from Alisha - truly a memorable experience!!! The food, the drinks, the service - everything was beyond our expectations. We stayed for hours and the team was dedicated to making our experience exceptional. We truly felt like we were being hosted in someone’s home with the greatest attention. We will be back and will be requesting Alisha!
