We've eaten here many times and we absolutely love their pizza and cheese bread plus. They have a very relaxing atmosphere and play great music in the background. The biggest complaint was that it took some time for them to get the pizzas done as their brick oven wasn't big enough to handle the volume of orders. They had a sign saying they are adding a new oven so the pizzas should be coming out much faster. If you love pizza, don't miss out on this place. They have the best pizza in the county. Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian pizzas. Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome Parking: Plenty of parking
Just off the beaten path. This is amazing pizza. The crust is dough enough but not too much. Cheese is firm and tastes fresh. Beer and cider on tap was fantastic. Staff was super helpful and happy to answer questions. Music was great, classic rock mixed with 80,90s. Just enough to be a great Sunday spot for lunch or couple date night. Food was the star and will definitely be coming back! Thank you staff, great job!!
This place needs a major upgrade. As soon as we walked in. There was no energy. It was so quiet and dark. It was so quiet. Customers had to whisper to eachother. And you can still hear them. No music. No TV. No energy. We almost walked out. But, I decided just to give it try. The pizza was good. It has potential. The ingredients and sauce was on point. The dough was chewy, and the cheese was stringy. It was hard to eat this pizza. There was only us and another table. And the pizza took over 40 mins.
It was our first time eating here. It was the best pizza I have had in Washington State. I highly recommend eating here. The food was amazing, and the customer service was on point. I ordered the 10" Tazzio. My husband had the 10" The Standard. We will be back for sure.Food: 5/5
Excellent wood fired pizza...as always! Ordered the Bourbon BBQ chicken and the Luau. The crust was delicious and cooked to perfection Second review: Went here tonight...pretty busy! Not a lot of staff, but had the most incredible pizza...my favorite so far called" Winning Combo", most definitely the thoroughbred of pizza's. The crust was thicker, lighter and crispier than usual. Even though the service was slower tonight, it was worth the wait. They have an excellent Marianne Berry cider on tap. I was a happy partron......
*UPDATE 12/22/22* Last time it was a pizza to go; this time, we decided to dine in at The Toad House. We arrived a few minutes after 4 pm, and as I was walking inside this evening, noticing it was a little on the dated, smaller, obscure side, but there was plenty of places to sit. Our server explaining about bringing up the menu by scanning the QR code. This is one thing that disappointed me a little and I have said this about another restaurant is scanning the QR Code and looking at the menu in tiny form. I'm not super fond of this practice, as many adults have vision issues, and many older adults don't have a cell phone or one that can do this. They may have regular menus for situations like that; I did not ask. Last time we had the "Winning Combo," this time, we ordered a 10-inch "OMG" Pizza and a "Starter Caeser Salad." The OMG pizza was topped with: red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, spicy sausage, black olives, red onions, spinach, and roasted red peppers. The amount of sauce and cheese was very acceptable, and I was happy with the number of toppings. The cornicione Cornicione means "crust," a specific part, namely the outer rim or lip of the pizza was perfectly done, with a nice slight crispiness to it. TheStarter Caeser Salad was on the smaller side with no bells and whistles, Romain lettuce, parmesan cheese, and croutons. It was fresh in taste, with no conspicuous lettuce and smaller croutons, which was nice for a change and easier to eat. I could have used a little more Caeser dressing, but that's a personal preference. The dining area appeared clean, with no sticky floors or tables; I'm sure it helped with being there just minutes after opening, however for that said, I did use the restroom, which there is just a single shared restroom, and I feel someone slacked on cleaning it the night prior. The floors were messy. Call me old fashion but it's the holidays and music played should reflect that, and doesn't need to be played so loud, it was tough holding a conversation without saying "WHAT?" all the time! Our server was friendly and polite! Overall, the restaurant is a little outdated, but the pizza was good and something we would go back for! "PLEASE, be kind to ALL things living!!" ----------------------------- Wanting more of a gourmet pizza, we decided to try The Toad House; one thing that was so enticing was the brick oven cooking. Over the years in my travels, I have heard people mention their pizza, so we decided to try it for ourselves last night! First of all, my hubby picked up the pizza, as they rely on GrubHub for delivery, and we didn't want to wait the extra time to have it delivered. I can't personally tell you how it looked inside; I can only relay what I was told and submit pictures my hubby took for me. My hubby picked up the pizza about twenty minutes after opening; he stated it was a little dated but clean. It was right after they opened, so judging cleanliness was tough at that point. He said the server wasn't rude but wasn't what he would consider friendly either. We had the Winning Combo, a little expensive at $25 plus tax and tip, but it was a good pizza, not incredible, but it is something we would order again at some point. The pizza came with a red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, spicy sausage, black olives, onions, fresh basil, fresh tomatoes. My minor complaints would be; the pepperonis were small in size, and there was hardly any on our pizza; I had two pieces of pizza and a total of 3 pepperonis between the two pieces. The spicy sausage was missing the spiciness but still had an excellent flavor. And the bottom part of the crust, although very tasty, I felt was just a tad underdone and a little bit chewy. The Cornicione crust ring or lip around the pizza was perfect! If you are interested in trying The Toad House, you can find them at 1405 NE McWilliams Rd, Suite 101, Bremerton, Washington. The Toad House shares a large parking lot with Safeway, UPS, and a few other smaller businesses. Parking: Plenty of parking
I have had pizza and around the country and world. The pizza here is very good and the crust is very good and cooked nicely not burnt just right. The sauce is very good, just right on flavor, taste and texture. Toppings are fresh and delicious and they use fresh parmeasan, not the some what dry grated stuff. Salads are huge, the wedge salad we had could be a meal all by itself. The only downside to this place is that it is a little pricey.
The Toad house is a nice warm Brick House pizza oven place with a wide variety of selection of ingredients. They a wide variety of micro brewery and a very kind and attentive staff. The food was well prepared and hot and timely. The prices were reasonable and the place was comfortable. I would highly recommend this place for a nice quiet date.
Pizza was great, but was all kids working. Ordered carry out and was told 1/2 hour. Got there and spent another 1/2 hour waiting, they hadn't even started it yet. Slow night too. I would have bought a beer if they'd offered. I'd forgotten that the long wait times were why I hadn't been in for a while.
Garbage $16 for lack luster sandwiche. Maybe if it was a full sub I'd be fine. I could spend less at subway. Step it up toadhouseFood: 1/5
