Noticed 2 vegetarian options on the menu, a veg burger and loaded tots. I ordered the tots and was not asked what option I wanted and I forgot to ask for veg so they were served with bacon bits. If you want veg, be sure to ask. I could be wrong but the tots didn't seem housemade. They were served in cheese sauce, sour cream and sprinkled with green onion. Idk why I was expecting something different but they lived up to exactly what was written on the menu so I can't complain. Total menu was short and simple but offered some nice choices. Cocktail menu had some great options. The Breakwater drink tasted amazing and was pretty. Not our main server but another server let us know that an owner of the restaurant worked hard to use local ingredients in the Breakwater beverage and tries to use local and homemade ingredients in much of the menu. I thought that was awesome and it made me appreciate the restaurant even more. The restaurant was quaint and maybe sort of hipster style. It included a small stage for live performances, mismatched colored and styled furniture, easy music overhead and a large outdoor eating area. Vegetarian options: Few vegetarian options, I recall 2 altogether. The server did not ask me if I wanted veg or non-veg so be mindful when ordering and let the server know what option you prefer. Kid-friendliness: Seems like it could be kid friendly. There were chicken fingers and kid friendly food but it's also a pub. Parking: Plenty of parking available. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible washroom available. Indoor seating was kinda tight though maybe they can accommodate. Outdoor seating available. Dietary restrictions: 2 vegetarian options and a few gluten-free options available.
Delicious meals, lots of food for sure. Wish I had been smart enough to eat half. Food came out hot and tasty. Quick service for how busy it was. We met the cooks and those women know what they are doing. Nice menu for gluten free diners. Lots of beer and new to us Revel cider served. Had Libra non alcoholic beer on menu, which is a great product. Parking: Lotsof parking in front of and near reataurant. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and vegetarian options on the menu.
Lovely atmosphere. cocktails and the main courses were great. It was a great experience overall.
Delicious food and attentive, friendly staff in a casual, comfortable environment. Menu was actually quite extensive and healthy options were available.
What a great little 'restaurant'. I say that because you can't just stop in for a pint or two, which is what a pub implies. Food is excellent, many compliments to the chef. Didn't figure out who all the sisters were but the young lady running the place knew her way around a cocktail shaker.
Really good food. I had a burger an onion rings and it was delicious. Good service. Nice atmosphere. If you’re ever in Placentia it is worth a visit.
Beautiful little spot near the ferry and definitely worth a visit. The lobster rolls were perfect, and excellent coffee. Looks like they do live music as well.
More restaurant then Pub although they have a great selection of beers and wines, the atmosphere is more restaurant like. Pricing is also more on the side of fine dining as is the food. We had the ravioli and fish tacos, both were excellent but be aware the portions are not excessive. Will be back again when in the neighborhood.
Came with a wee dog. Weren't allowed on empty patio, sent away. Then we thought we'd order takeaway. Asked the same server, who said we could. Tried to place order and told no takeaway cartons! Looks like a nice place...maybe server was having a bad day...this place left a bad taste!
Heard this place was good. Came down from St.johns. Arrived at 7:37 on a day where they close at 9. Seemed like they didn’t want to serve our group with an hour and 20 minutes till closing. Gave us a pathetic excuse and turned us down. I guess the Restaurant was already overwhelmed with all of 3-4 people that were there. Unfortunately there isn’t lower than 1 star.
