The Tasty Bakery in Red Deer is awesome! They bake for stores and restaurants in and around Red Deer but also sell the most amazing treats in store! The staff is so very friendly and make sure you know they really appreciate your business! i was supposed to order bread and treats from The Tasty Bakery on Saturday, as I was coming to Red Deer today from two hours away, but I forgot! I called the store this morning hoping there might be some treats available for me to put aside. The owner Don such a nice guy answered the phone and asked what I would like. I told him my order and he did say he didn't have all that I wanted but would do his best! Well, I got to the store just after noon and was grateful he had put aside what he had! I paid and set off for my two hour drive home. I got home and opened the bags and there was EXACTLY what I had ordered! I don't know if he found he had more than he thought or baked extra just for me but I was so surprised and pleased! I don't know why anyone would buy their baked goods anywhere else! Best Birthday cakes anywhere!!! Several flavours including German Chocolate Cake & Keylime, Black Forest or Lemon Cake. Made on site, yummy and perfect size. All breads and buns made fresh, Delicious baked treats. Great bakery
Tasty Bakery The name says it right! NEVER had a bad reception or experience here , sometimes they are busy in the back and you have to remember its a bakery not a M cdonalds!. You are not there for smiles or pats on the back . Good bakery buy your stuff and carry on !
We drove from the other end of town as we usually like the products. When my daughter and myself walked in we received what felt like a dirty look by the worker who then left to the back without a single greeting. We decided to look around and stood by the till once we had chosen our buns. After a couple minutes with no one around we went to the large windows above the bins to try and get someone’s attention. My daughter finally made eye contact with a different employee who eventually came out to serve us. We found the service cold and the first employee was definitely unwelcoming. While the products are good, I don’t feel they’re that much above a box chain bakery and my decision to support local wasn’t my best one apparently. I doubt we’ll be back.
My son brought home cinnamon buns from the tasty bakery. I was skeptic at 1st because I am very fussy regarding cinnamon buns. Fell in love “@ 1st bite” will definitely be buying these buns in the future. Also they are reasonably priced!
Its the only place we buy our daily bread. Have tried many places and kinds but for our daily sandwiches this is the only kind we prefer. Very kind staff, helpful and have koffie to buy and take on the road and homemade jam and cakes for occasions as well. Closed on Sunday but we wont mind that at all. Open long enough during the week to pu after work. If you need more or for an oocasion, you can order ahead.
Have tried bread and buns from other sources nothing compares with this product . Very good all the time. Today for the first time I bought a bag of oatmeal raisin cookies just like home baked love them
We travel to Red Deer from Edmonton just to stock up on goodies here!The bread bowls are fantastic! Brush with a little garlic flavoured olive oil and then toast. Trust me!
Very tasty!! We have been a few times now, since moving to the area, and everything is always so, so good!!! A little more expensive then the grocery stores, but it really is worth it.
Me and my honey come here all the time because we like the bread and goodies that they make here. I would recommend it!
