Amazing birthday cake! They replicated the design picked by our 3 year old to the very last detail! The birthday boy was beyond ecstatic when he saw his cake. The cake tasted delicious, vanilla and lemon flavored layers. And the owners of the store are extremely accommodating of the requests, give informative feedback and go out of their to stay in the customer's price range. We always order all our cakes from them.
We worked with Chris for our wedding at the Morton Arboretum and he delivered an absolutely beautiful cake that tasted as good as it looked. Chris is incredibly friendly and a joy to talk/work with. He had great ideas and also incorporated decorations that we provided to great effect. We look forward to trying some non-wedding related baked goods in the near future!

Came here looking for a cake for a party. The staff was excellent and very helpful and accommodating. We had a cake tasting and they all tasted great. We also tried a bunch of cookies and those were good. I'd go back! Follow up: the cake for the party was delicious and beautiful. Every expectation exceeded. Highly recommend!
The Sweet Spot made the most gorgeous, delicious cake for my Mom’s 80th Birthday!! Needless to say we needed something very special for such a momentous occasion! Chris guided me to the perfect cake with humor and expertise! I gave him a vague flavor profile and he nailed it! Almond cake with cherry filling, which my Mom said was the BEST CAKE SHE’S EVER HAD!! My Mom is a sweet lover, and an avid baker, so that is high praise! I would highly recommend The Sweet Spot, they were a pleasure to work with! Also, grab some of their Macarons, they melt in your mouth!
I went in to order a cake for my daughters white coat ceremony for dental school .the staff was so helpful I explained what type of cake I was looking for . I was so happy the cake came out amazing and was so delicious . My daughter loved it ! I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a special occasion cake !!! They are amazing !!!

Great spot for good coffee and great pastries, but not before 9a on Saturdays. Quiche and pie. Wonderful.
I stopped by to celebrate and got the Zucchini and carrot cake. I couldn’t stop myself from eating both of them. Absolutely delicious and the customer service is so amazing. I highly recommend this place and now I have a reason to drive west.
