100% recommend! PLEASE try this sushi because it is AMAZING! I come from BC where sushi restaurants are a dime-a-dozen. When I tell you that the sushi we ordered was fantastic, I am not exaggerating. Not only is it tasty, but you can tell she takes a lot of care and pride in her food as the presentation was very well done as well. We ordered the “Can you fit me in” platter between 4 people and it was divine. I love that she has flavours like the Coco Chicken and Hawaiian California Roll which aren’t typical and more “fusion” but the unexpected flavours make the menu more fun. We also had the Sesame Crusted Seared Tuna with Wasabi Mayo Drizzle which was perfectly seared and seasoned. The Shrimp Tempura was the crispiest I’ve ever had. I always feel gross after eating tempura from other Japanese restaurants due to how dense and greasy it feels but her tempura batter is light and fluffy and not at all greasy. Also loved the spicy sauce it came with. Definitely looking forward to trying more of her menu options when I visit next.
So bare in mind, this is NOT a traditional physical restaurant that you can walk in and dine in. This is someone’s personal home. I confirmed it myself by going to the listed address myself. This is one of those “ghost kitchens” for sushi. I rang the doorbell and the lady was very nice about it and explaining to me the whole ordeal. 5 stars for her niceness.
I had the Sashimi Madness platter and it was a thing of beauty. Generous portions and lots of original and intriguing flavours. Best sushi I’ve ever had for certain!
We ordered the regular platter gluten free with edemame beans for a game night and it was so good. Will 100% be ordering again and trying another platter.
Best sushi in the area. The quality of the sushi is amazing and has such a variety of rolls. I just had it but I want it again.
