Stopped for lunch per recommendation of my friends. Really nice little place with good service. We took pizza by the slice, the veggie special was my favorite and it was really good. Their crust is pretty nice, thin and well proved. The next for me would be the pepperoni with bacon, I forgot the name but it was great as well. The third slice we took was the meat special which was ground beef with peppers and onions. Though least in order of preference but this one was pretty good as well. My friend also recommended their calzones but the server informed me that it would take 45 minutes so maybe next time. I do recommend checking this place out.
A cool little spot that's an easy walk from any where in the area. Some of the best views happen here. These local artisans sure keep a great vibe with great slices of piethe swine is was as porky as you would expect with the pepperoni and the sausage with plenty of cheese and delicious crispy crust. The condiments are bountiful here, to go or to dine in, you have Parmigiana cheese or crushed peppers that give u an explosion of flavors you can only expect at this little pizza joint. Great art by the owner and Ray and the other girl were my favorite ambassadors of the team. Thanks chef!
Stopped by on date night for a quick slice to share with my girl Katy. The atmosphere is awesome and folks running the place are real sweethearts so the service is beautiful. We got a pepperoni and sausage with mozzarella. The meat was top notch and the cheese was first rate. Best of all its spiced to perfection, not over powering but excellently fulfilling. Highly recommended whether you want a quick bite or a full pizza for the whole family!!!
Disappointing experience. The pizza crust was so hard that we couldn't get it to fold without breaking it. Only 1 of the 4 slices was soft. Haven't seen that happen at other pizza by the slice places. The restaurant is understaffed. The person ahead of us took 15 mins to order because the cashier had to keep coordinating with the pizza makers. Later when I asked for the key to the restroom, the cashier told me that she would give them to me after passing the order but she went and started preparing the next order. She later apologized and informed me that she couldn't find keys to the restroom.
The first thing you notice whn you walk in os the smell. It smells like the best pizza joints should! Their crust, OMG, this crust is incredible! The sauce tastes so fresh and the vegan sausage was so good, it passed this omnivores taste test with flying colors! The pepperoni pizza is fantastic. The slices are huge. Absolutely recommend it. My 12 yo son gave it 5 stars and so do I!
This New York style pizza place is truly fantastic. I’ve been to this place several times and it never disappoints. Thin crust and delicious toppings. All you need is a slice or two and your good to go. This place is in my Top 5 favorite pizza in the nation. Great job.
Strait slice was not on our list of restaurants initially, but every time we passed we became more intrigued. It ended up being our final stop before the airport. Yes, as other reviews have mentioned, they are understaffed. That is normal these days. It did not affect our food nor our service. The staff were apologetic and we were patient. The pizza was lovely. A great blend of flavors and the crust was perfect. Definitely somewhere I would plan on going to next time I’m in town.
I'd recommend not coming here if you're of a minority ethnic background. I hate playing the race card & it's the last thing I typically consider, but I call it when I see it. I've never been treated so poorly. Being out of town & restaurants closing early, we settled on this pizza place. The cashier glared, heavily sighed, & was completely rude whenever we asked a question. We got there an 1.5 hours before they closed, & this was apparently a problem to order pizzas to go. I thought she was rude because she wanted to leave early & couldn't tell if perhaps she had some sort of intellectual disability because she would take 10-15 seconds to pause & glare before answering the question. She ended up just pointing & tapping the menu without answering my questions, so I had to ask for clarification yes, I read the menu, but it was unclear. She gave the same attitude when my friends asked what beers they had. I didn't confront her since I wasn't sure the source of her irritability & wanted to be sensitive to any unseen disabilities. While we were waiting for our pizzas, we observed her behaviors. She treated all the other patrons Caucasian warmly even when they came in late. Suffice to say this woman did not get a tip. Also, $80+ for 3 mediocre personal pizzas & 2 beers were hardly worth the terrible attitude & microaggressions. If I'd have known it would be this bad, I'd have much rather gone to a chain pizza place for better food & service.
Meh, its ok. Quick food, its already made if you are just buying a slice...They just keep it at room temperature then reheat. Made the same day but still. Very wide and thin slices, you pretty much have to roll it up to eat, or you could ask for them to cut it if you're on the go. Flavors are typical. Crust can be on the burnt side. Must say, they could stand to lose the prominent NO TRESPASSING sign in the window. Its not very welcoming. Also last time I was there, a large piece of artwork fell from a overhead joist on a customer. So Caveat emptor I guess
We were starving when we stumbled across The Straight Slice. Thankfully they fed us a delicious pizza and salad. The employees are friendly, the atmosphere is cute and quirky, the prices are reasonable. We’d definitely eat there again!
