This review is specifically for their: Muffins. The Store, is located right off the round-a-bout off the highway 20 Spur in Anacortes. After everyone ranting and raving about their muffins, I had to check it out. They have a good selection of wines, ciders, and beers; as well as other convenience items. I was told throughout the year, they do over 200 flavors of muffins seasonally. I got the Apple-raspberry, and it was amazing. Soft and cake-iee, with fresh apple chunks and raspberry. Don’t just get one, you’ll be disappointed. They have a muffin punch card for repeat visitors.
Very hard to decide on which delicious morsel to try from the bakery!! Finally went with the strawberry peach muffin and a carrot cake cookie for later. Also got an oat milk latte which was lovely and some garlic basil bread and artichoke dip for dinner. My friend got an assortment of cookies and the recommended wine it was actually good, which coming from me who really doesn’t like wine is saying something!. Staff was friendly and upbeat and the entire store had a cozy feel. Would love to return!
Okay yes they have really good cookies, pretty good muffins- some deliver stronger on flavor and texture than others too soft/moist and falls apart. However, I never really feel welcome when I make purchases? Iv had a few different cashiers, and iv gotten the same vibe from all of them. It wasn't friendly but not outright rude. The atmosphere is charming country store meets gas station.
Okay...think about the best muffin you've ever had. Now, multiply it by two and add a quaint Anacortes storefront. Yep, you've pretty much got the perfect muffin. The Store - located literally a block off the main drag into downtown - is worth a quick side trip. Their muffin selection is off the charts, featuring flavor combinations rarely seen in the muffin-challenged PNW. Chocolate Caramel Cheesecake? Yes please. Several varieties of chocolate and/or fruit? Um, yeah. Not to mention, these babies are HUGE. I've never actually finished one in a single sitting. Usually I eat the tempting muffin top first, then save the rest for later. The Store also has an incredible selection of wine perfect spot to stop for a couple of bottles before you hit the islands, and other convenience store items plus a cute cafe in the back. They have coffee and espresso, and plenty of indoor seating if you want to enjoy your muffin on-the-spot and avoid getting crumbs all over your car, don't ask me how I know. Oh, and did I mention the folks who work there are super friendly too? Win win!
So I had gotten a bad latte at a roadside stand and dumped it out.They were confident that they could cleanse my pallet. I have to say that they failed. So if you're picky about your lattes don't go there. To hot and no froth at all I pointed it out and they said they don't do "Art Lattes" it's not an art latte it's just a latte done properly.
Friendly staff and some of the best peanut butter cookies and muffins I've ever had. It's a cool little store in Anacortes. Definitely worth a stop while in the area.
My husband brought these to me today! And let me tell you best muffin ever! They moisture! The flavor! The smell! Omg!!!!!!! A must visit!
Cute as a button store. The muffins are the best I’ve ever had, EVER. They are full of flavour and a decent size! I got half a dozen to go and didn’t regret my decision. The ladies behind the counter were very friendly. My only regret is living two hours from here.
The muffins here are so good and I always like to stop at this little store when I’m in town! It’s about time I leave a positive review for this gem of a bakery and convenience store. I just stopped in and forgot my coffee, and a kind woman who I see working there often brought it out to my car for me! Thank you so much, you are amazing! Everyone is so friendly and I always have a phenomenal experience here.
Our friends took us to The Store and we were really glad! Great baked treats like muffins and cookies along with drip coffees. Our friends ordered lattes, but we just wanted some delicious coffee and treats. Nice cozy room to enjoy your purchase or take your items with to enjoy at home or the park! There are other things available at The store however, we just came for the goodies. A large selection of wine can be found there too.
