Very good place for dinner! I ordered the clam chowder and pilgrim. I would highly recommend both of them. My waiter was extremely responsive, refilled our drinks very often. The food came out fast and was delicious. It has a theme of the third class sailors aboard, and they did a great job of decorating it.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: NoDelivery: NoCurbside pickup: No
Taking several steps down does not appear to be handicapped accessible you feel like you are entering another world. Dark wood and rustic walls create an intimate quiet atmosphere. We ordered the panko cod and the Mrs. Pickett sandwich with an upgrade to a bowl of New England clam Chowder. All was absolutely delicious! Fish was crisp outside and moist inside. The sandwich was packed with just the right amount of flavor... perfect. Clam Chowder was loaded with clams. We would definitely come back!
Very good atmosphere. The food was delicious. The drinks were somewhat okay as the cocktail I ordered had a very little amount of alcohol : Overall it was very nice. We'll definitely go there again!Food: 5/5
Vegetarians....this not the place for you. Love the concept of the restaurant since our first visit. Dinner entree was much more plentiful than the brunch menu. German pancake not the German pancake you are expecting. Blended cheese on sourdough about as equal to the grilled cheese you had growing up for 12 bucks minus the real sourdough bread taste. Next time I would opt for the sandwich on ciabatta Texas toast!! minus the American processed cheese. $9-11 nothing special Bloody Mary....save your money. Loaded with ice, watered down and no where of the equal to what it should be. The passion of the servers and owner are apparent. Could be a 5 star emporium here in our home of Port, and if eating in 3rd class steerage, we deserve just as good as first class.
You have got to try the Steerage in Port Washington, WI. We are very discerning diners and so are our friends. We have tried them all in Port. One may come close but, nope. In our circle, The Steerage has the best Fish Fry available every day! So far all the selections we have tried were above the mark. The next measure is the staff. Amazing job service and attentiveness is superior to the others in port! We boat up from Milwaukee and have lunch or dinner here. That says a lot! Go for it!
Really was surprised with how cool the location was. Down a few stairwells is a great restaurant and bar. The staff couldn't be more friendly and accommodating. The phrase hidden gem gets thrown around quite a bit but this place deserves it. Great place for a fish fry or to watch a game.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: No
The menu is very short. I ordered the Cioppino. I don't want this to sound offensive, but the fact is it reminded me of somthing my father might have thrown together from left over seafood and a can of stewed tomatoes. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed it. My wife ordered the Serbian Chicken and it was a classic shake-n-bake chicken. Again these entrées were enjoyable. But for garlic in stewed tomatoes with leftover seafood and mom's shake-n-bake chicken the bill ran me $100 including two coctails each and a 20% tip. The waiter certainly earned it. The idea is right Titanic 3rd class theme but the price is off at no fault of the owners suffering at the hands of out of control inflationary costs. Blame the current political administration not the owner. If this lovely place makes it 24 months I'll be genuinely impressed.
Absolutely fabulous! Excellent food, friendly and attentive staff, good pricing, awesome atmosphere. Would highly reccomend anyone visiting or local to stop in! Visiting from out of town the entrance to the pub as shown in the photo is small, but do not miss it! Walking downstairs into a authentic euro style pub with pleasant music and perfect lighting is just the start to a fantastic evening. Greeted right away with a smiling bartender happy to get us seated and served. House made Irish cream liquor is a must have by the way. Had several drinks with my wife along with unique and fantastic foods. Scotch eggs to die for, clam chower that is different in the most delightful way, turkey dinner sandwich, and fries. All the food was served promptly, served hot, and was delicious. Finishing with the bittersweet chocolate pudding is the best choice anyone can make. No words can describe, just go get some. I only wish I lived closer to stop here more often. Michael, the owner, was extremely pleasant and inviting while making sure all was right. Clearly gets along with the staff and he helps make the whole experience feel like the pub you have been going to for years. 5 stars plus if I could for a wonderful establishment.
The clam chowder was really delicious. I had a small piece of parchment paper in mine, but it was really really good. We got fish and chips. The coleslaw was not very good. Most of us didn't eat it. It was sour tasting. I thought that it needed sugar. Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is downstairs. I didn't see an elevator, so you have to be able to go up and down stairs. The bathroom is up two small stairs as well. You have to be able to do stairs in order to dine here.
In the basement - the food is great as is the service. Love the Sunday brunch. Hard to find a German Apple Pancake around here. Partially baked and fried to brown so less like an apple pie but certainly is delicious and the strawberries are a bonus. Bacon is a thick cut so heads up to those of you with a preference my spouse likes thick and I like thin. Sunday brunch till 2pm.
