Classic pub experience, waiter wad the manager and comp'd extra cheese on our nachos in place of a meat option. Very appreciated as a vegetarian and made for a great meal. I always get the fine company blonde, also a classic lager. Great place for casual meet ups or a quick beer
the privileged location in downtown. Apparently it is an iconic place. The service of the waitress who attended me was terrible because all the dishes I ordered were brought and the order was taken by other waiters. To be lunch time the bathrooms were disgusting I don't want to imagine at 10pm. the waitress was not professional she treated my son rude.
Stopped in for a quick drink and snack. Food was quick, drink options were good. Atmosphere was good
The server was very nice… so not his fault. We ordered fish & chips, “really… not fit to eat” Last year fish for sure and freezer burned to the max … very thin and very dry, and frozen French fries. Most definitely there are much better places close by, within walking distance.
As a 21 year old I have second hand embarrassment of the bouncer who asked me for my ID, health card, university student ID AND MY INSTAGRAM PAGE. This is definitely a bit much, especially where all my friends didn’t get QUADRUPLE ID’d. Also kind of feel disgusted because I had to show the bouncer a grown at least 30 year old man my instagram account. Do better Split Crow, I won’t back!
Looks like a neat place. Got there at 6:30. Was immediately told on walking in that they "don't allow noisy kids after 7." So we took that as our hint to leave with our 11 month old. She wasn't noisy, and there is probably a better way to tell us about that rule instead of the abrupt manner they did. We wouldn't have gone if we had known, just thought we would put it here for other parents looking for a restaurant with power after a hurricane.
My first time back in a while and it was just like I remembered. Great selection of drinks our server Pat the Ninja really took care of us and had great suggestions, our app platter was perfect just the right amount for sharing. We still wanted to have more drinks and Pat made sure we knew where to go!
Very SLOW. Sunday evening, the place was certainly not packed. Took over an hour to put in our order and recieve our first appetizer. The menu was super small to begin with and 4 of the options were unavailable. Upon receiving our first appetizer, we thought they forgot about our second appetizer. We received our main meal then half way through our meal, our second appetizer come out. Was not overall happy with the place at all.
We had a great time ! The place was as I remembered it during my Dal days afew decades ago. Reasonable prices, great atmosphere, and great live music. Please keep this great place going strong !!!
Was here 23 years ago. Still a great place!!
