Found this Caribbean restaurant in Jasper town. Overall the food was fantastic. The flavours of the jerk chicken and the soup were top notch. The quality of bread used for the grilled cheese and sandwich were brilliant. The main opportunities for improvement are the pricing and slightly the service level in the patio area. The sandwiches and grilled cheese on average cost $20 each. They do come with a side of soup/salad/fries but even then it is quite expensive. The server suggested the fruit punch but it was quite bad and pre-packaged. Again overpriced as it was $8. There were 2 servers and both were mainly inside so we had to go in to get their attention or even order food. The staff has a great spirit but need to manage the space a little better and they should consider reducing their prices for better volume. Nonetheless, overall a great place for Caribbean flavours.
Best food in all of Jasper. Came here thinking the jerk chicken would be a bit too spicy for me but the restaurant owner made sure it was prepared in a way that used less spice hot but with still enough of the great flavor this place is known for. I had the jerk chicken fried sandwich. The chicken was perfectly cooked, the coleslaw was creamy, and the pickle sweet. The soup served with the jerk chicken was just out of this world. My friends has a jerk chicken grilled cheese and the fruit punch - both of which they loved. The only reason I'm giving this 4 stars and not 5 is because of the quantity for the price. it wasn't a lot of food let alone enough for the $22 they charge for a sandwich, wrap or grilled cheese. Fantastic experience otherwise.
Awesome find in Jasper. This restaurant can be classified as a Caribbean fusion joint. First of all, the service was exceptional and had wonderful conversation during our lunch with our server. We went with his recommendations and it did not disappoint. Had the jerk chicken wrap with their homemade soup. Both the soup and the wrap was amazing. Enjoyed our time here. This place had a cool ambiance with a Jamaican colourful setting.
Good food in jasper, the taste was very earthy organic, loved their seating and hospitality. They have awesome service, and good prices , their fries very the best I have ever had, long with wraps . If you are in town it’s a must try place. Don’t forget to order the Jamaican drinks on menu … cheers
We ate here twice in our short stay in Jasper. I loved the orange dressing and jerk chicken. My husband tried two different grilled cheese sandwiches and loved them both. The ouray milk latte was excellent. Would go back again and again. The owner is a cool dude who goes the extra mile for customers.
Jamaican jerk chicken grilled cheese was just fabulous. It came with a side- coconut chicken curry soup, that was super yummy. Server was friendly too. It was a great experience overall but found it bit expensive. The portion size was OK . The grilled cheese and soup costs $20 which would have been justified the price if the quantity of the soup was little bigger or there is some fries included.
Unexpected find. The jerk chicken grilled cheese sandwich was excellent with right amount of heat. The sever asked whether I want it spicy. The fries also had some kick to them as well.
The food here was so flavourful and had the perfect amount of spice. The owner was super friendly and you can tell they have a passion for serving fresh quality meals. Would definitely come back.
We came in for a jerk chicken fix and were not disappointed! My sandwich on the coco bread was perfect - I would've been happier with just a bit more spice but my tongue is a spice charred warzone so I understand it being milder than my individual taste. Particularly since my partner in dines jerk chicken grilled cheese was "just enough spice". The root veg and chicken curry soup were both apt companions to the dishes as was the imported cola and the red stripe. Will be back!
This will be the best grilled cheese you've ever had. Jamaican owned and operated. Service is great, flavors are on point and the decor is perfect. I almost missed it since its in the alley, so happy I noticed the sign. The line goes by quickly. I ordered the jerk grilled cheese just look at how the cheese melts and edges are crispy. This place will ruin you because you'll want all grilled cheese to taste like this.
