This is one of my favorite places to eat in town, partially because I love thrift stores, and this happens to be connected to one. However I'd come anyways because the food is always fresh and delicious. The last time I ordered a soup here I really could have ordered another bowl...it was a chicken chowder and just that perfect. We also enjoy picking up baked goods that they sell here on occasion, the gingersnaps being my personal favorite.
Always great food and atmosphere! Soups are exceptional. Cabbage rolls are great as is baking. Can’t go wrong with a sit down meal or take out pre- made meals! Thanks Val, and Wanda!
Delicious food and excellent service! Val is an amazing cook; the pizzas and burgers here are the best! A cute little restaraunt with many things to look at and I’m always impressed with the selection of take home baking.
Val and her staff make excellent home made meals. Her desserts & Wanda’s cinnamon buns are the best in town. Val’s Xmas cake is very good and a Christmas tradition in our home.
Sigh The Social butterfly.. I want to like this place i really do, but there is one huge problem with the place; it's the service!. Whenever I have eaten at this restaurant the front lady/waitress has always either given me rude looks or mean sneers. For a resent example I ordered 2 Large pizza's and a double order of mozza sticks with it, I usually ask to pay before my meal so while I was paying for it I ask as kindly as I can "Would you like my number so you can call me when its done?" I don't think I was being hostile or rude in any way as its kinda normal for larger orders. Boy was I wrong the front lady turned to me and said in the rudest most sly tone "Nope You can just come pick it up when its ready". I know that this can come down to a nitpick but with every other bad impression this Place has made I cannot recommend the social butterfly as a good place to eat.
the food was absolutely delicious! However the waitresses working there is terrible! She was very impolite, not personable at all. Never came and checked how we were doing. But the food is worth putting up with the ignorance.
Had a cheeseburger and fries for lunch. Burger was cooked well and fully dressed. French fries were crisp and the best I have had in this town. My new Forestburg favorite spot.
Amazing food! Never left unsatisfied! And I love the consignment store as well! Has something for everyone! Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area!!
Ordered the hamburger and rice cabbage rolls and they were delightful! Will definitely be ordering more. Amazing customer service!!
Great food & atmosphere! Be sure to get some homemade cabbage rolls and perogies.
