I'm incredibly frustrated with how the donation drop-off area is managed at this location, especially during non-office hours. As the photos show, the back alley often ends up looking like a complete mess, with items strewn everywhere. It attracts people who either take the donations or rummage through them, making things even worse. This isn't just an eyesore—it's a serious safety concern, particularly since kids pass by here on their way to school.nnI've seen people who seem to be under the influence of drugs hanging around the area, which makes it feel unsafe and downright disturbing for those of us who live nearby. This situation is absolutely unacceptable in what should be a supportive community space.nnI strongly urge management to step up and implement a better system for handling donations. Securing the area or restricting access after hours could make a big difference in keeping our neighborhood safe, clean, and free from this kind of chaos.
They don’t take donations after 6pm. The guy even showed me a sign, which you have to already be here to see, obviously. On their website it says “donations are always welcomed” well, I guess they’re not.
Many stained, ripped, and ruined pieces are being sold overpriced, and they wont give you a real discount for them. What kind of thrift store is this stingy with customers? Ive never been to one thats so greedy and full of itself. You get those items for free, youre making money from nothing, no other store gets to do that…. the company should remember that and stop implementing ridiculous policies. I guarantee the employees are underpaid as well, no excuse to be price gouging ripped stained sweaty items. EVERY big chain thrift store right now needs to be reminded of their place. Youre supposed to help the low income afford stuff, not sell fast fashion items for more than they are worth originally, and let employees give the stank eye to anyone who tries to barter it down to an actually acceptable price. Never going back after visiting a grand total of 3 times.
Update. Dec 30th 2023.nMy daughter really wanted to check this place again. On our way out there was a staff member walking with a huge plastic tub full of xmas cups. He was heading to the garbage can. We both watched him throwing cup after cup away on the garbage. I thought this place was supposed to be for waste reduction??nCould they not have been put for .20cent. Or free even?nHeading to the landfill. Wish I had my phone to take a photo.nn‐-----------nnWell this put me off the store.nClearly this yoga mat is brand new and 4 bucks from dollarama. Yet someone priced it at $9.99.nI thought this store was about helping people that need it, not price gouging the already struggling.nDo better, be better.
Tried to go to this store twice now. Says it's open Sundays 10 - 4, but I show up, lights are on but door is locked and nobody to be seen inside. Change your hours on your signage if you aren't actually open on Sundays.
