Our order totaled over $160+ and we had a takeout. I didn't know we only ordered gravy. Butter chicken, lamb dishes each and every one of them had extremely less meat and I literally had to go for hunting meat in the sea of gravy. What sort of scam is this. Extremely disappointed for the money we spent. Clearly we didn't want to swim in gravy only, when we paid 30% extra price compared to the regular prices And if they try to justify that thats how the portion work no it doesn't.
Best Indian food in whistler. Has great vegan/vegetarian options too. Vegetarian butter chicken, palak, lamb do pyaza, mango chicken, Chana masala. And garlic naan.
Overall, good flavour and would recommend. Takeout breakdown: Pros: great flavour and texture and overall very enjoyable meal; some dishes had solid portions tandoori chicken, rice dishes; I had 3 large servings because it tasted so good. Cons: protein portions for some dishes were less than I’d like, one chicken leg undercooked but the rest of the chicken was perfect and juicy. The pros outweigh the cons and I’d eat here again : Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options on the menu.
I absolutely loved the ambiance of The Royal Taste of India. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating as I had a hungry kid. They made sure to bring out his order first. They have a great drinks menu with lots of great selection from India, with the infamous kingfisher beer and don't forget to try out the Punjabi club whisky, it was one of a kind. Now let's get to the food part, the butter chicken was just delecious. Easily the best butter chicken I have ever had. We also tried the mixed grill non veg platter and chicken pakora was splendid. Was too hungry to take food pics! TLDR : don't forget to order the chicken pakora!
Great place to visit for an Indian food and culture experience! The overall vibe is fun. Staff is friendly. Ofcourse the food was amazing. I had the Jafreezi Chicken. Know that it will be spicy, even if you choose mild. That shouldn’t be a suprise right ; Had the local beer which tasted good. Also, you will pay a bit more because of the selection of food; a curry and rice will cost extra than just a curry for example rice is needed with the meal. Recommend this place for sure
Visited this place during a trip to Whistler. Amazing food and exceptional customer service. The food was served fresh and was good quality. Simply delicious!
The food and menu are just average but the place is set up really well on the second floor or Whistler Marketplace. Nothing tickled my taste buds. Price didn’t substantiate the quantity being served at all. Hope they revamp their menu and get interesting dishes that taste well and is worth the price being paid.
Located above the McD drive-through. Friendly service but perhaps I always a bit brave ordering Bhindi Okra up in the mountains. The seemed to have seen better days and were outnumbered by the onions. I'd go back but try a dahl instead.
Decent Indian and Vegetarian food in Whistler. Place was busy and we had paneer gravy, Naan bread and indo-chinese food. Paneer Chilli was delicious and a must try.
Really yummy food! The service was quick. We tried meatless butter chicken. It was the best we ordered twice!. With only a few options of Indian restaurants in Whistler, I would happily dine in at The Royal Taste! Thank You.Recommended dishesButter Chicken
