We are a boutique green grocer with a local focus. We offer the city's largest selection of local & organic produce (conventional too), a full service butcher & deli counter (The Chop Shop), a full service boutique floral & garden department (The Potting Shed), a vast selection of locally sourced unique grocery & dairy products... Stopped by this Monday morning as I saw the cute little truck on the roof Always heard of its fresh local produce, but just a bit far from where I live. It was my first time visiting this store, really surprised to see so many local fruits and produce displayed. I also found my favourite PARACHUTE Ice Cream Thanks to the gentleman in the garden centre for the gardening tips and helping me pick the right perennials I was looking for. Your good service deserves recognition, sorry I forgot to ask for your name. Will definitely come back for more because of your excellent customer service
I just paid 20.89 for 2 chicken cordons. Brought them home to cook and they are hard and rancid!! They wrap them in paper so didn't think I'd have to open it to look at them. I emailed them, called and left a message and not one person has reached out to me.nnUpdate- 5 days later. Still no call back or email. Now 1 phone message and 2 emails.
Jenn was awesome! She helped me find everything I needed and even wrote down the names of the herbs for me when I asked. Loved her vibe, super friendly and helpful!
I absolutely love the root cellar, the staff are always so friendly and seem genuinely happy to help. They have a great selection of local products that makes shopping Canadian/local easy!
Root Cellar Village Green Grocer is one of my favourite places to shop for fresh food in Victoria. They have a great variety of vegetables and fruits, including many items that are hard to find in regular grocery stores. Everything always looks fresh and high quality.nBesides produce, they also carry a good selection of meat, deli items, cheese, and other specialty foods, which makes it easy to do most of your shopping in one place. The store has a local, community feel, and the staff are friendly and helpful.
