Excellent products, friendly service and lots of options each better than the other. The cinnamon swirl is delicious, so moist that melts in your mouth. I also recommend Apple Friters
We came for apple fritters they were sold out, too good I guess! and donuts, but got a blueberry strudel and a chocolate mousse horn - both seriously delicious! That mousse was heavenly good, not too sweet, just perfect. I love bakeries, I’m a sweet tooth, and I can say for sure it’s a wonderful place. We will be back!
Love this place. I eat a lot of donuts from small town bakeries in the US/Canada: I'm certain I had the best eclair I have ever had here pretty sure it was real whip cream, not baker's whip cream and it had a very fluffy yeast dough!
Such a sweet little bakery! I've been several times and always able to fix my sweet tooth. I have also ordered a cake. They let me pick a design and the cake was beautiful and delicious. Always some one there to greet you with a smile and friendly service.

WORTH YOUR TIME TO STOP BY ON THE ROAD! Just came by this morning, owners were super friendly and the pastries were even better! I was absolutely surprised by the quality of baked goods! Definitely coming back next time we are driving by.
Been coming here for decades. A must stop every time we come thru Hope a few times or more a year. We look forward to it! The BEST apple fritters, Napoleons, and Pineapple Crunch pastries. Hubby had a sausage roll and Cornish Pastie today and said YUMMMMM. I had an almond tart—excellent. Their scones are also incredible. A real gem in the beautiful town of Hope.
The apple fritters are the best around. Having had apple fritters all over BC these rank number 1 so far. The Cinnamon buns were delicious but could use a little more cinnamon but that could just be personal preference. The other donuts we got were eaten super fast by the family and I was told it is a must stop anytime we go through Hope. So they must be damn good.
Since ownership/name changed prices have gone up and quality has gone down. Not the same "home town feel" like Dutchies used to have unfortunately.
This place is a hidden gem & worth the drive to Hope!!! Go early, to make sure and get some of their famous cinnamon buns. Trust me, once you try them, you'll never bother making them yourself. It's all good. The bread, sausage rolls & apple fritters, will keep you coming back, again and again.
