Great bike shop for all your repairs or to find a refurbished bike at a great price. Wonderful people who do so much for the community.

Had a tune up done on my bike. It was done on time and they went over and above what I expected for $19.00.

I bought a used touring bike to commute around PT for about $250. I noticed everything was very well dialed in on my test ride, as with the other bikes they had for sale. The brakes were well-adjusted, the shifter was responsive and dead on, the tires brand new and the wheels were true - everything about it (and the other bikes for sale) was clean, functional, and ready to ride and enjoy. I bent the front valve stem while topping it off (gotta love Presta valves), so I stopped by and bought an inner tube. The folks were more than happy to provide tips and pointers while I repaired the bike, and even lent me chain lube and rags on a later visit. The 24-hour tool station is very handy with screwdrivers, Allen set, air pump/gauge and pretty much anything you'd need - from topping off tires to rebuilding your bike from the bare frame, all the right tools are there. The area is lit from a motion-sensing light, so the 24-hour station is true to its name for nighttime repairs. For used accessories, their selection of racks and fenders is massive and prices are cheap. I walked out with a rear fender for five dollars. They have a decent selection of new-in-box items such as lights and lock chains, which are a bit on the expensive side but are priced comparably to the other bike shops in town. I bought the first light there, liked it, and ended up getting another online for about half the price. The bike has about 300 miles on it from my work commute, so it is due for a good cleaning, new wheel bearings, and brake adjustment. If I don't do those at home, I'll probably take it here.

More then just a beautiful bike shop that supports sustainability, health and FUN!! The ReCyclery is an ever evolving "see it to believe it" community center founded on the desire to share knowledge and more often then not, delicious food. It's the only place in Port Townsend you can borrow tools (Saturdays Noon-6), find quality new or used parts, or volunteer to support a number of non-profit programs. You can even "Borrow a Bike" for up to two weeks by donation based on what you can afford. I just got so hyped I'm going there now...

Anything you need to learn, borrow or buy is here. This is a well versed, ethically sound establishment that was built with a genuine passion of the trade, and run with an organic love or equal opportunity, and community. Hats off! Well done!
