Loved this place. Has indoor and outdoor seating, and excellent menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner plus great desserts and espresso coffee based drinks. We went for lunch. The fish cakes were very good and came with fresh bread and butter. Also had the chowder in a bread bowl. I've had lots of chowders, this was one of the best by a mile. Bread bowl must have been made that day, so fresh. Didn't just taste like cream, lots of seafood. Iced coffee finished it off nicely.
Very cute building and friendly staff! You order up at the cash and then are served at the table. We had the fish cakes delicious and came with fresh sourdough!, lobster roll and club sandwich which both came with the crispiest homemade chips!! The club sandwich came on three layers of sourdough and was piled with turkey, roast beef and ham. For dessert we had carrot cake it looks like it might be dense at first but it was perfectly moist with a crisp buttery crust! and blueberry cheesecake which was creamy and balanced.
Amazing food and super friendly staff! We got two sandwiches tuna melt & chicken pesto and toutons & baked beans. It took a while for the food to come out but it was well worth the wait - everything tasted AMAZING. My first bite into the fresh cheesy tuna and crispy toasted bread really made my day. Come here if you’re around Bonavista and you won’t be disappointed!
Had supper last night at Quintal Cafe and Bistro in Bonivista. The food atmosphere and service was excellent. I had the Lasagna which is a very very generous portion served very hot in a cast iron Skillet. My wife had the Peanut Chicken which was also delicious. We visited the Restaurant with friends and on their advice about portion sizes did not have an appetizer... when I return I will definitely include one. There was a wide selection of desert options Blueberry Cake, Chocolate Cake, Lemon Meringue Pie, Partridge Berry Tart, Chocolate cheesecake, Pineapple Cheesecake and thats just what I remember. All the deserts are made fresh daily on site. I had lemon meringue pie and my wife had Partridge Berry Tart both of which were exceptional. So good in fact we had a piece of each to take with us for later in the evening. The restaurant is small with limited seating inside but also a nice deck area. It was 27 degrees Celius so we ate inside out of the sun. Service staff were extremely friendly and have created a very informal dining atmosphere which we enjoyed. Prices were very reasonable with meal deserts and drinks for 2 coming to $98.00 before tip. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Bonivista ... they have Breafast, Lunch and Dinner Menus. Vegetarian options: Offer a Vegetarian Burger Parking: Lots of parking in the area especially for the Dinner service
Excelent cozy place to have breakfast. Open at 8am. The service was one of a kind. I had the 2 eggs option perfectly cooked just as I demanded, a capuccino and a banana/chocolate/mocca muffin, all in one that is just unbeatable. The bacon that was aside the eggs a bit too thick for my taste, though. Parking: There are two places just in front, but I guess a few more just close by.
Stopped in while walking the town. Very cute bistro with a full breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. Everything made in house, food tasted great, small selection of beer and wine and some great coffee options! Totally recommend!
Great meal and great service. Location is central to most hotels in Bonavista. We had the salmon board and homemade lasagne. Both we very good. Definitely recommend when in bonavista
Amazing food! Tried the tuna melt for lunch and blackened cod skillet for dinner and both were so delicious! And it’s such a cute cafe!
Nice atmosphere with good food and good coffee! Staff were friendly and the place was packed with locals, so you know it's good. Even though they were busy we didn't wait long at all. We ended up getting a breakfast croissant to go because there were no free tables but it tasted great and we just drove up to Cape Bonavista and watched the ocean while we ate.
What a beautiful cafe with the best latte and chicken avocado wrap. Kids had grilled cheese which they gobbled up. Husband had the turkey sandwich and love it as well. The desserts are fabulous looking but when I saw the giant snowball I couldn’t resist. Thanks for the fantastic Sunday lunch for all 9 of us!
