So, we checked in on a Saturday afternoon, for one night. Stayed in a 4th floor loft. The room was excellent. Clean, modern, view was amazing. However... when we went to the grill to have some supper, it was closed. When we went back to the office to ask about this, we were told the grill was closed for the month January, and that 'white point was only 5 mins up the road'. Not only was it not posted anywhere when we booked online but when we checked in, we also weren't notified of this at that time. This may not sound like a big deal to most, but this was a night away from the kids and we wanted to just relax, walk across the road to have a meal, and then go back to the room and enjoy the evening. Very disappointed in this. At the very least we should have been told from the start the restaurant was closed, so we could have chose to stay elsewhere.

The food was excellent and the price was right. We were able to sit at one of the tables on the window side overlooking the Summerville Beach. It was sunny and the tide was coming in with Sandpipers running around. This was on a Wednesday evening without reservations but recommend to call ahead if you want to ensure a table by the window. The pasta with the scallops, & shrimp was excellent. It is a very open and airy restaurant with nice washrooms.

This is perhaps, one of the jewels of Nova Scotia. I stayed in the lofts, with a spectacular view of a delightful, long beach. The attention to detail is exceptional in a very well appointed room. The beds offer a superb nights sleep. The rooms are spotlessly clean with modern, European/Scandinavian style amenities, a great shower, air exchange and air conditioning is quiet (not the usual rumbly old beast in most hotels/motels that wakes you up every hour.) The beach is instantly accessible and the winding roads along the coastline are a treat. The food in the restaurant is sumptuous and mouthwatering to say the very least. Local ingredients are a feature to be appreciated and enjoyed. My only reason for not making it 5 stars is the menu being a bit limited. Portion sizes are good however and it is value for the price. I'd like to see some lighter fare or snacks offered at off-hours. The staff are wonderful and patient and will answer your questions and are very accommodating. The added recreation building is well appointed and comfortable.
