I have only had fantastic experiences with the Preeners. Extremely convenient location, and really great staff that go over-and-above what is expected. I had some jackets that needed emergency dry cleaning before a trip, and then owner paid a taxi to deliver them right to my front door. I drop off my dress shirts here one to two times a week, and the staff are so nice it's almost the best part of my day. One thing to note is that the prices are high, but keep in mind they're in the Bay Adelaide center so the rent is probably ridiculously high. If you want cheap prices, go take a walk somewhere less convenient. If you work in the Bay Adelaide center, Scotia Plaza or somewhere else nearby and want convenience and good service, this is the place to go.
Those who gave 5 stars have not been there long enough. I went to preeners for 3 years weekly and eventually decided I would walk an extra bloc to have my clothes dry-cleaned. They will ruin your clothes, in time, while telling you it's your fault somehow. Rude staff and terrible service. If they make a mistake and misplace your clothes, it's your fault not theirs. If a stain doesn't come out, also your fault and you have to pay again for them to remove the stain. So don't even think they will apologize because it's all the customer's fault. Literally the worse dry cleaners downtown.
I would give 0 stars if I could and I do not recommend this dry cleaner. First time visiting, brought a few shirts, one lightweight wool sweater, and one skirt. Pricing was a little steep but not atypical for businesses in the PATH. Most items were returned in a few business days - with the exception of my sweater. I was told it was stained which I was sure it was not and brought back to the depot for cleaning. I said it was fine, paid the bill, and expected to return after the weekend i.e. one week after dropping my items off. When I returned I was informed that they did not in fact know where my sweater was at all. This was only after I spent several minutes asking very direct questions. It was only after ~5 minutes of discussion that I was informed that they were aware for at least 4 days that the item was missing, and did not inform me of such. I asked for a refund for cleaning services on that particular item as it was fairly clear to me at that point that it had more than likely been lost, and clearly explained that if it was not returned to me, I would need to be reimbursed - as a dry cleaner should simply not lose clothing. A cash refund was given for the service not a credit card refund with receipt, which is what I requested, and the store attendant was fairly uncooperative - to the point that I wrote the basic terms of this arrangement on the slip, had the store attendant sign it, and took a photo of the slip. They asked for a few more days to find the item, which they ultimately did not. Luckily they did provide a cheque for the value of the garment, as agreed to / signed off on. I understand that things do sometimes happen - but as a dry cleaner, the core function of the business is to take garments, clean them for a fee, and return them. This is a simple concept, which, unfortunately, this shop appears to be unable to execute upon. Finally - beyond actually returning clothes to their customers, I would strongly advise this management team to actually tell clients the truth if and when things go wrong. The most frustrating part of this was hearing several minutes half-baked stories that didn’t line up. Just tell the truth, make it right, and try to do better. Needless to say I will not be returning.
one if not the worst cleaners in toronto. would not recommend on any level. i tried to give zero stars but was prevented by the system i have required over 65 buttons to be replaced due to their shoddy service and machines. at first they tried to explain that it was faulty buttons on my shirts and after the buttons they replaced started to fall off they admitted it was their machines and gave me a $100 discount. albeit appreciated the issues kept repeating themselves and multiple emails to head office 'Haf Sachedina' have been ignored. i was informed that they would provide a special level of cleaning which they wouldn't charge me for???? what i was suppose to get charged for missing buttons? and double check. but sadly the issues were continued and communications ignored. i was left to change dry cleaners with no problems to date and wear shirts with up to three different types of buttons on one shirt...
Not only did they damage a very expensive shirt, when I went back to ask them to fix it, their first and only reaction was to blame Me! It was a brand new shirt, and marked as such by their own employee on the slip, yet the woman continue to say the damage was not their responsibility. Do not go there if you don't want your clothes damaged! Worst cleaner I've been to. Terrible quality and even worse attitude!
I've been doing my dry cleaning with the Preneers for a year now and I love their service and the quality. They pick up my dry cleaning in a timely manner and return it in pristine condition. I've only ever had good experiences with the staff and the quality.
If I could give 0 I would. Service is very bad and price are ridiculous. I asked for a repair on a small 1 inch seams that loss thread and they asked for 20$ for a 5 minutes job.
Fantastic service, great results, reasonable pricing. Have been a customer for 6 years and have always been very happy. Would highly recommend.
Ruined my 400 shirt and all they could say was "did my best". Stay away.
