Story

We are your local pub. Located off the new river walk in Old Town Mount Vernon. Jump off I-5 and you'll reach us in about two minutes. The Pub is a 21 years and over.

Enjoy choosing from 22 Northwest Draft Beers, a great bottled selection or our assortment of wine. We offer Northwest Fare including everything from appetizers, salads, our signature chowder to fish and chips, burgers, sandwiches, pasta and steak. The focus is on local products here as we use a local fisherman for our wild salmon, Acme Seafood from Samish Island for our clams, Draper Valley Organic chicken, Country Natural Beef from the Co-op and BreadFarm breads.

The Porterhouse is truly a local pub where new faces are always welcome. Come Enjoy!

Come join us for Happy Hour Monday - Friday 3-6pm. Kitchen open from 11:30am - 10 pm everyday except Sunday 1-9 pm

Excellent service, great menu, good food, fun atmosphere, good gluten-free options. Lamb burger with mango chutney and feta cheese. Sweet potato fries and a sriracha aioli dipping sauce. Definitely delicious!
Excellent Nitro Stout, with a wide selection of craft beers. Food was pretty good, although I was a little disappointed in the rib tips, not much meat and the ends were solid bone. The grilled salmon salad and sweet potato fries were excellent. Nice surroundings and friendly service I would definitely recommend
HIGHLY recommend the crab cakes, clam chowder & fish n’ chips. Very cute, cozy space. Plus, great beer options on tap. Kim was an awesome waitress.
The atmosphere was fun and relaxed. My waitress was nice and helpful. Food was great, the elk burger was so good. They had a nice selection of beers and drinks to choose from.
The service was great and so was the food and beer. Plan on coming back soon for date day with my husband. The Elk and Garlic and Brie Burger were amazing. Highly recommend.
This place has a good beer selection. The food choices are generous and good tasting although perhaps not as well thought out as some other spots. All in all, a pleasant place to spend part of an evening.
I have only had three things there. The fish tacos were average, the fish and chips were soggy, but the fries were great and the crab cakes were excellent. One night we went they had cards to play and that was fun. The service was great.
This place was great overall. The food was pricier than expected, but worth it, and the service was attentive and friendly.
My favorite place to get a good meal and wine or beer when in Mount Vernon. Great place with great people and staff. I highly recommend stopping in any time you are in town.
