Visiting The Polygon Gallery was an unforgettable experience — from the moment we approached the striking building to the final step through the Lee Miller exhibition. The architecture itself is a masterpiece: a stunning waterfront landmark thoughtfully designed by Patkau Architects with a bold, sculptural presence that seems to dance with the shifting coastal light. The façade’s reflective surfaces and industrial-inspired materials beautifully echo the surrounding harbour, mountains, and sky, inviting you in even before you cross the threshold.nnInside, the space feels open and luminous. Floor-to-ceiling glass and lofty ceilings create a sense of calm that perfectly complements the photography on display. It’s easy to see why the design has received so much acclaim — it genuinely enhances the way you experience the art, rather than distract from it.nnOverall, The Polygon Gallery isn’t just a gallery — it’s a cultural jewel on the North Vancouver waterfront. Its architecture, thoughtful curation, and the emotional depth of the Lee Miller exhibition combine to make this a must-visit destination for art lovers and curious visitors alike.nnThe current exhibition that I saw is by, Lee Miller: A Photographer at Work 1932–1945, is profound and deeply engaging. Featuring more than 100 images, it offers an intimate look into Miller’s brilliant career — from her early portraiture to her daring work as a World War II correspondent. The photographs are powerful both aesthetically and historically, revealing her remarkable talent and the challenges she faced as a woman in a male-dominated field.
A superb space for an event. We attended a private event on November 26, 2025.nnThe space was bright and airy, the sound music system well designed, the food walk around food and sushi was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful.nnBonus was the view from the accessible deck facing south towards the harbour. The Polygon Gallery is a must-visit destination for art enthusiasts and photography lovers alike. Located in North Vancouver, this stunning gallery showcases an incredible collection of contemporary photography and art exhibitions that will leave you breathless.
Amateur hour at the Polygon and an insult to the artist in this case, Lee Milller. How do you charge $15 for an exhibit so poorly laid out and displayed?nnAs seen in the images attached, they light the photographs from behind the spectator. You can't look at an image without your own or someone else's shadow covering the image. It's an insult to the work. In addition, for anyone who is familiar with Lee's catalog, they squish her more poignant wartime photographs in the backroom. Placed very close together with awful lighting. Couldn't believe how poorly thought out this exhibit was.nnFor anyone who's an admirer of Lee Miller, I don't recommend this exhibit. For anyone who is unfamiliar, I definitely don't recommend it.nnOur group was very much looking forward to this experience. Gutted with their careless execution. We won't be back.
Amazing “Kids First” program! My 6-year-old loves going since he was 4, and he really enjoys making art projects here. The space where has a stunning view, and it’s big and full of light. We really enjoy this program, and they only ask for a donation, so super budget-friendly too.
