The Playful Goose Campground of the Horicon Marsh

Had a great time. My kids didn't even ask to use their tablets. Swimming, fishing, Low cost boat rental and a park with a barrel roll thing . awesome. My dogs even had fun especially went they saw the chickens.

The owner was extremely rude to us during our short visit here. We were invited here for a birthday party and didn't know the campground rules about vehicle registration. Instead of calmly explaining that we needed to visit the office and register our vehicle as guests, the owner showed up on a golf cart and angrily screamed at the entire group of guests. Will. Not. Return.

The roads suck. Under new management thing idk if is better or worse. But our first time here. They lady hardly speaks English. We eneded up having to dig our own hoke for a fire. Also the campfire wood availability time sucks. Sorry we wont be coming back.

I do want to say that the facility itself was very well kept and it is obvious that the owners care about the appearance/ cleanliness of the park. That said, the staff is rough to deal with at best. The person in the office will tell you one thing, and then an initially unidentified person will run into your campsite and tell you something different while become verbally threatening when you say to take it up with the office. Ironically, the angry and threatening person was the owner. It would have helped if this person was courteous and led with the fact he was the owner. Other wise I just initially assumed it was Jim Bob Camper who kicked off the holiday weekend festivities a little too early. I ended up leaving after a couple hours and they refused to refund my money.
