The Pickle Barrel Farm Market

Employer expects employees to work 8+ hour days 6 days a week with no breaks, is emotionally abusive and manipulative, and does not stick to his word. Great products in the store but it means nothing when the business is run this way. I highly recommend not visiting this place unless you want to support labor law violations. My wife has lost 20lbs since she started working here 2 months ago from not being given lunch breaks or time to even use to restroom for that matter.

Seriously the best donuts I've ever had on this side of the state. I would like to see them start making fritters but for now my #1 is the vanilla glazed.

Great farm market. Friendly service. A place where you can find lots of unique, locally produced foods, ice cream, flowers, cider (seasonal) and pumpkins (seasonal) Go support a local farm market.

A three hour old carafe of coffee is NOT fresh! But we did enjoy the store and bought some beautiful plants. Please educate your staff about serving fresh things, especially for the money we were charged.

I live right behind here and my family and i would walk up there on a weekly basis. I noticed they would tax me on food items that werent prepared as im aware only prepared food can be taxed. I approached the employee and asked about it and expressed my concern and she stated we tax here for everything. Michigan law is food is untax unless prepared. She then threw change at me and said take your tax change then. I walked in there the following week and to buy a picnic table for my business the same lady told me are you sure you can be taxed on this then tokd me to leave while i was trying to pay $400 cash for a picnic table. This is there loss of a loyal customer. I made a compliant through the BBB a few days ago. She embarrassed me and treated me nasty. Ill never spend my hard earned money there again. The owner lets high school girls run this place and doesnt care that customers are being treated nasty. They are always on their phones or their friends are always coming up there to talk with them. This is my experience. I hope they make changes as it is a nice place with unique products. I thought that i could ask a queation about something i was confused about like the food tax i was so nice and polite just trying to understand and they held that aganist me amd treated me nasty ever sense. Never going back
