On our last day in Muskoka, my family and I stopped here for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The falafel was flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and you could tell the ingredients were fresh. Everything tasted wholesome and made with care. It was a simple but satisfying meal that really hit the spot before heading home. Definitely worth visiting if you’re looking for fresh, tasty food in the area!
This place is amazing! Presentation and taste of food was amazing! Portions smaller than expected for the price but definitely worth it. The road stop atmosphere outside is misleading - it's a true culinary experience.
We had such a wonderful experience at The Pearl Muskoka that we ended up visiting twice during our trip! We came to celebrate a birthday and also enjoy a relaxing weekend, and this restaurant made both occasions special. The food was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully prepared.nnBoth times we were served by Brynnley, who was so kind, attentive, and gave excellent suggestions on what to order. Her service really elevated our visits.nnI will 100% be back the next time I’m in Muskoka and highly recommend stopping by The Pearl if you’re in the area — you won’t be disappointed!
Quite expensive! We had the recommended special of the day, which was an Italian veal schnitzel with bone-in. At the end of my meal, I complained to I believe the owner, that the meat within about a half inch proximity of the bone, was completely uncooked, which she responded was ‘normal’. More importantly, this à la carte item which was barely enough for the two of us, and my wife doesn’t eat much meat, was $68 alone ! More to the point, it was heavy-handed with the breading, and the meat had no distinct flavour whatsoever, and wasn’t particularly tender, as a good cut of veal should be! We also had two large salads. The cauliflower one that my wife mostly ate, had a strong curry adjacent seasoning to it, which I did not care for. The other salad was actually quite good, and frankly, the only highlight of the meal. The best part of this place in my opinion is the setting, with lots of elegant covered patio seating available, which is Much nicer than when this location was Castle Blue previously.
The Pearl is the cutest bakery in Muskoka. It's new, modern, friendly service, and has delicious pastries. On holiday last summer we came here every single day. It's a bit on the pricey side but the experience and taste is worth the price. We can't wait to come back.
