Probably the best school that will ever exist

I am a parent of two Pathfinder school students - one who attended before high school and a current student. This is the exceptional environment that parents are seeking in a true educational experience. From hands on "everything", to valued perspective by the students, this school, nestled in the wooded ridge along the Grand Traverse Bay, is plentiful with trails, outstanding faculty, caring administrators just buzzes with activity. No stone is left unturned for each individual student and the experience of positive group projects, problem solving, Both of my boys have participated on Pathfinder sports teams, treasure their friendships and are on a path for success that is unparalleled - there is no comparison to the confidence these boys have attained by knowing that their input is valuable, their ideas are considered, there are different ways to accomplish objectives and everyone is welcome. The journey of learning that is nurtured in this school is one that stems from joy of learning, joy of children, cooperation, parent involvement, common goals, forums for parents to learn and grow in our important roles as parents and new approaches to learning that can take a child struggling from boredom of repetition and see them blossom at the all the possiblities with math and science and language they hadn't realized yet. It puts the ownership of learning into the hands of the student and becomes theirs to cherish. Can't say enough- The music program is incredible, the kids are awesome and the school endures even the roughest Michigan economy to survive and grow. Just the walk around campus inspires excitement over learning! I've learned so much from my kids from what they are learning and doing in school - I am in awe. Come for a visit!
