Food was delicious. Our waitress was amazing. She gave great recommendations and even told us about upcoming events in the area. Loved the atmosphere!
Room was good size and bed was comfy. The bedroom carpet needed a deep clean, but the rest was clean. The receptionist was efficient and friendly, but the reception was very dusty and the carpets needed cleaned. I have a dust allergy so this made me nervous.nThe food was average and not good value. If staying for a few days it would get expensive. We had 2 drinks and appetizer and 2 mains and it was $125nIt is very central and that is its appeal.nI would stay again if it was cleaner and people staying got a dinner discount.
Great location but beware...the walls are paper thin. Within 30 minutes of arriving our neighbours were rocking their bed. When we were about to fall asleep, the dog in the room above us decided to dig at the floor. Then other neighbours decided to watch TV.nnThe rooms are nice but looking tired. The carpet as mentioned before is showing its age. They were in the middle of painting the hallways so the place was pretty dirty no one vacuumed the elevator carpet the two days we were there. Toilets are the old shorter ones, bath towels were fraying and dust everywhere.nnWe've stayed at Vintage Hotels in NOTL and were very impressed. This one needs some TLC to keep up with those hotels. Not sure if we'll be back.
I went to the bar, I didn't stay there.nnAwesome English Inn, proper 20 oz pints, great beer selection. It reminds me of the Churchill Lounge in NOTL nnI did not eat but the menu looks good but rather expensive. I assume it's worth it.
Rating is for restaurant only. I wasn't a fan of the prime rib sandwich special served cold. My wife ordered appetizer sized Ceasar salad with grilled chicken which she enjoyed but at a price of $25, it seemed out of line.nnAtmosphere and service was fine.
