Everything about our meal was awesome. Only the brave should order the blooming onion... we only got 1/2 way through but every bite was delicious. Steak, pasta, beer from Flying Boats... everything was was superb. Highly recommend.Food: 5/5
I come to this restaurant with my family and we loved the food, place and the people who attended us. We ordered pizza and my kids ordered kids meals. My coffee come very strong e hot perfect. Parking is in front of the restaurant.Food: 5/5
We were in Sackville for a few hours while our daughter was swimming at the local university pool. We were looking for a place to have a couple of beers to kill some time. After trying one place that was closed for renovations, we stumbled upon The Painted Pony. Don't let the exterior fool you; when you walk in, the decor is classy for what I'd consider a pub. We had already eaten, so we were only looking for drinks. We opted to sit at the bar. The bartender asked us what we'd like for drinks. I'm a stout drinker, and unfortunately, they don't carry stout beer, but he recommended a local New Brunswick brewer's beer, which was a darker red beer. The bartender was kind and witty. He'd often engage in conversation with us while still serving customers and thanking everyone as they left the pub. As it turns out, he is part owner of the Painted Pony. He mentioned that all food is prepared on site and all deserts are made in-house and they have a company that makes a special ice cream for them. Next time we are in the Sackville NB area, we'll be sure to stop in again for food.

What a nice place with great food, friendly service and a fun atmosphere. When I was there I had the Painted Pony burger delicious with fries and gravy. There was so live music a d overall it was just a fun experience.Food: 5/5
had been there once before for lunch and it was a great experience. Went last night with our daughter and 16 year old granddaughter and it was unpleasant. The server never asked us if we wanted drinks; just took our order. I asked for a glass of wine with my order, thinking it would prompt her to ask the others if they wanted a beverage. About 20 minutes after ordering, server came along and said that they were working on our meals. About 15 minutes later she came back apologizing for the delay and offered to bring more bread; but again never asked if we wanted beverages. Note this is also a bar! Food finally arrived about an hour after ordering. Food was good but did not make up for poor service. August 30, 2023
Stopped in for chicken wings and a pint. They have the best wings that I’ve had so far in the Maritime provinces. Dusted, crispy deliciousness. Friendly bartender, tasty food, clean washrooms. Will be back when I’m in the area!
Was in Sackville for the Mount A football game, a few of us headed to the Painted Pony for lunch before the game. We took a long time to order, the waitress remained very patient, pleasant and helpful. I order the mushroom burger and fries special of the day and was pleasantly surprised! Full of flavour and the fries were excellent. They have local craft beer from Flying Boats Dieppe so that was a plus. I would recommend!
Third visit back to The Painted Pony. The staff friendly and outgoing. The food choices excellent. Overall service outstanding.
