I have to say I’m really impressed! They recently changed owners, and let’s be honest, when it’s a good restaurant that can be rather scary. Luckily they’ve kept the good and improved in many areas! The menu has extended and has added a few new items. Today we got the spinach dip, which did have a bit too much grease but flavour was great! We followed with fries pickles, which were fantastic! I got a hot chicken sandwich which was pretty darn good! I would have loved more spice as Nashville chicken sandwiches should have, but it was well balanced and flavourful. My mom got the buffalo chicken Cesar wrap. It was a staple before, and will stay a staple for years to come! Basic, sure, but it’s classic for a reason. I am knocking a star however as it is NOT accessible. Especially the bathrooms. We have family who could not join. In 2022 that’s rather disappointing and I hope to see that change.
Overall this was an excellent experience The restaurant was very clean, the service was beyond amazing and the food was delicious!! I would've given 5 stars, however the bacon was a little underdone for my liking I like it crispy. However, the food was tasty and the order accuracy was on point! Definitely will be back !
Visited this establishment today. The food was great service was also great I visited with 3 others we ordered the pulled pork sandwich, mac and cheese with pulled pork, a poutine and a order of garlic bread. We also had a 2 year old with us who ordered the grilled chicken. The only 2 issues we had were that my pulled pork sandwich seemed on the colder side but I like my food on fire so I don't hold that against them too much. Also it seemed a little more on the expensive side but within reason. Overall we enjoyed our visit would visit again.
Such a great place for family and friends to dine in for a casual get together. I was impressed with the variety of options on the menu and the portions were large and fairly priced. The food itself was awesome, fresh and great tasting. I loved the coconut shrimp and the spaghetti and meatballs. There’s an option for everyone! The wait staff were friendly and attentive. The new owners have been working really hard with taking over and it shows in their service.I highly recommend this place. I Will definitely be back!
Took my son out for lunch to reconnect, after a fall, and server was great and food affordable and good! Under new owners I had not been there since they had taken over operations. Clean operation and kind folks. Food was fresh. I give it a big thumbs up, and live here in town. I expect to go more often than before.
Went for breakfast with friends, good food and nice ambiance. Parking can be an issue so we parked at the plaza across the street. Egg salad sandwich and coffee was great, 4 stars for service because refills and taking our orders took a while. Otherwise a nice restaurant situated in picturesque downtown New Hamburg.Food: 5/5
I'm really excited to share the experience which I had in the restaurant last week. I ordered Ribs and wings in the menu, It was well cooked with favors and superb taste. They got few minutes for serving in the busier week end. Hats off to chefs and working crew for the wonderful service.
This was to have been a special Valentine's lunch for my wife. We went at 11:30 AM, knowing it could be busy. We waited well over half an hour for our meal, which was acceptable, but people who came in some time after us were served way before us. In fact, the next couple after us were finished their meal just as we started ours. Our server was gracious and efficient, but never mentioned the soup of the day, barley, which I would have had. I think the problem was in the kitchen. She did say at one point that our meals were being "plated" but it was another 20 minutes before we got them. The food was hot and excellent when it finally came. Not at all as enjoyable an experience as on our first visit, Novembee 22, 2022.
Food is what you'd expect at a diner-style restaurant. We arrived at 9 am and had a fairly big group 9 people. It was about 9:45 before our food started to come out, but the kitchen didn't prioritize the kids' orders. My nine-year old was served last, after 10am, long after everyone else had their meal. She was in tears. And all she ordered was PLAIN PANCAKES. We weren't impressed. To top it off, the restaurant was very cold. We all kept our hats on!
Never disappoints. OCR is a great place to dine in or take out. Great food and fair prices.Recommended dishesBeef Dip, Fish and Chips, Garlic Bread, Nashville Hot Chicken, Fries
