The BBQ Tempeh Reuben just rocked my world. Shout out from this Vegan for a great vegan sandwich on a menu with multiple vegan options! Delightfully simple with an explosion of taste. An excellent rec from the P.O. across the street.
We waited over 45 minutes for a breakfast sandwich and burrito. Ours was the oldest order on the order board but people who came in after us were getting their orders before us. My sandwich was cold by the time I got it. And in the end I didn’t get the sandwich I ordered. No cheese came on the BSK which everyone said was so good. Wont visit ever again.
The food is awesome, but when you think that you’re only waiting half an hour for a sandwich, and you end up repeatedly waiting an hour+ for a sandwich….it’s very frustrating. If you want to waste hours of your day because you have nothing else planned, totally go for it. If you have a schedule you need to stick to, don’t go here. Just a warning.
The green salad with beets, chèvre and pistachios is consistently light on greens. It doesn’t seem to compare with other Hanover eateries.
My favorite local sandwich shop they're great for breakfast and lunch. The beet Reuben is good, the tofu club, the green heron, etc Their coffee and baked goods are also delicious Vegetarian options: They have a great selection of vegan and vegetarian sandwiches
Great locally owned cafe for excellent breakfast/lunch items. Seats about 45 so plenty of space both inside and out. I highly recommend the BSK original breakfast sandwich. Owners are friendly and always onsite.
Holy balls I wish I could give the nest more stars. The only legitimately good restaurant in Hanover. Burger is awesome. Pimento dip was awesome kinda weird that they sent it with mini toast and crackers instead of tortilla chips. Sneakily, the best croissant and chocolate chip scone around. I don't think I'll ever get food elsewhere when the nest is open
Absolutely love The Nest Kitchen! I always tell myself that I should try something different on the menu, but I just cannot get enough of the Turkey Apple sandwich! It hits all the right notes. The sharpness from the cheddar, sweetness and crunch from the apple, the pepperiness from the arugula, and the bit of spice from the house made sriracha mayo. There is just the right ratio of turkey and other ingredients between the thinly sliced and lightly toasted sourdough bread. All I have to say is...YUM! I can vouch for the chai spiced sugar cookies and coffee drinks too. Takeout is packaged well and ready when I arrive and the staff is always friendly. Such a great addition to downtown Hanover! Highly recommend.
After 3 years of giving this place the benefit of the doubt for its snails pace service it's offically banned. We ordered sandwiches showed up when they said they would be ready but 35 minutes after that time parked in an alley with crying hungry kids people got places to be. We called to cancel and were given the green light but after no refund was issued we called and they refused to give us our money back saying "well they were about to ready you must have talked to someone who didn't know what they were talking about." No call back from owner to date despite request. So if you choose to eat here make sure all you plan to do that day is get a sandwich and when talking to anyone on the phone it maybe worth clarifying --"wait, before we talk further are you one of those people who work here who knows what are talking about?" Therfore after an unknowing community business donation of $40 I am still sandwichless. Update: it's been two months. No call back. Typically we ate at one of the locations twice a month with avg cost of 60 bucks business loss of $240. Also there has been two refused meet ups with friends here due to its banned status business further loss of $120. Total lost income $360 in the last two months. Business advice is free. Our callback number has not changed. Next update in two months.
Currently eating the Roasted Sweet Potato and Chèvre wrap. OMG it is so good. It is bursting with flavors. The mild, buttery goats milk cheese pairs so nicely with the tart/sweet/tangy maple balsamic. I’d eat this for breakfast or lunch any day of the week
