18+ hour wait in the waiting roomn.... all night there was 7 people in the waiting room and they didnt call a single name in for 6 hours... now its 8am and double the ampunt of patiens in the waiting room and still not calling any name. Ive now been awake for over 28 hours sitting and waiting in hospitals just to be able to see a doctor.... disappointed in this hospital.. probably will never come back. Dumont is way better and quicker...
I fell going down my basement stairs in October, 2025, and was taken to the Moncton Hospital hospital by my friend, Kathy, to whom I will always be grateful. I had a concussion, can't remember but was told I babbled endlessly waiting in Emerg, and was kept in the hospital for a variety of tests for two nights. After my memory returned that evening, I was repeatedly impressed and touched by the amazing care taken of me. I was given numerous tests, fed delicious food, and taken care of in every way by doctors, nurses, porters, food stadd
my mother in law, that is all in her head, went in the er because there was something off. She was exhausted, she got hacked , this was keeping her up at night. she wasn't herself, we knew something was going on. She went in the ER they did bloodwork and urine test. her potassium was low and she had a UTI. which both of these can make a person confused if it's bad enough. they gave her the potassium tablet and a half hour or so she was back to her normal self. But they decided to keep her. she got sent to the psychiatric unit. the doctor told us to come to Moncton to sign her out. once we got there he never wanted to let her out. I drove there, gas is not cheap, I called in sick from work, to go deal with this. let alone my husband was her next of kin, but the doctor changed that under everyone's noses, one day he was and the next he wasn't. I seen was he was trying to do, I spoke up and he kept her there since then. She has been there for 9 days today, stuck. she can pay her bills because the doctor is holding onto her bank card, that she told us to come grab to her card to pay bills and to take care of her daughter and her daughters birthday that is this Saturday. poor kid, lost her mom, as we are not allowed to visit, lost her home and now she won't be able to celebrate her birthday right because we cant get to her what was gonna fund her birthday. with me having to take off on multiple occasions for this matter. we have 3 children of our own and this was unexpected. it's not like we can drop everything and just fund her birthday like she was expecting. Now the doctor Bhalla didn't sign my mother in law to another doctor and he went on vacation, keeping her there way longer than expected. We went to sign her out last Thursday because HE SAID to come sign her out. it all back fired. This doctor also looked at me like I was crazy, they don't believe a human being can get hacked! I believe her, I told that to the doctor and that's when he looked at me like I was crazy. Not too impressed with our health care system. let alone drug her everyday so they don't need to deal with their patients. I'm in contact with lawyers that are not associated with this Hospital and this Doctor... the PATIENT ADVOCATE program is useless, and they are definitely not there for their patients. If the hospital has wronged you DO NOT talk to these advocates because they are just there for the HOSPITAL.
Never ever will I be going back to this hospital for a pregnancy. The L&D unit and baby unit is awful. The staff are very disrespectful, rude and make false claims on patients. I was lied to nemours times here and I was not being listened to or heard. I was told one thing and then they would do another thing. Never ever again am I going back to this hospital.nnJillian Martin the social worker made a complaint to CPS and false accusations about me. Thankfilly cps has no concerns but for a hospital to use your past against you is wrong. They are supposed to be there to support you and offer help. Not be there and become the enemy.nnThis hospital and the staff are the worse of the worse.
Well run, professional hospital with exceptionally friendly and competent staff. We didn't use Emergency services so can't speak to that - but the care, responsiveness and professionalism in our experience has been outstanding.
