Frustrating and Poorly Managed Parking for VisitorsnnWaited over an hour just to get a parking spot while trying to visit my father after his surgery. People were cutting in from the opposite direction near the entrance, while others like me were waiting 20+ minutes in line on the road. There was no system in place to manage the flow or ensure fairness.nnTo make it worse, they charge $20 for this parking for just one week. It’s incredibly stressful when you're already dealing with a loved one in the hospital. Parking for patients and their families should either be better managed or free during critical times like this. Province should build up and make a park garage!nnThis experience was frustrating, disorganized, and completely unnecessary on top of an already stressful week.
The ED isn't emergency department but administration unit only. Just one doctor on duty at night who is always busy in trauma department, and other patients are left waiting for hours in pain. They don’t care if someone is suffering or even dying plus the staff at front waiting area have some other level of attitude. Zero urgency, zero compassion. Absolutely disgraceful.
Today the staff and nurses + one student in X-ray were brilliant. The student even walked me to the doors where my husband was going to pull up and pick me up from. It was such a wonderful experience to be there today. I wish that everyone going there can experience the lovely nature and friendly people who work there from the lady’s I asked where the x-ray dept. was to the receptionist and the medical staff. I understood everything everyone that asked me any thing, and the best part was everyone had a mask on !!!!! Brilliant !!!!! A lot of the time I feel very overwhelmed being at the French Hospital being that I don't speak French. They are lovely people but I felt at ease there today.
My father went in to the hospital for various complications and, after an extended stay, succumbed to illness. I live on the West Coast, my sister travelled there to be close during his illness. The staff were amazing, from Doctors to nurses, to orderlies, technicians who did their best to find his veins, xray techs, cleaning staff and volunteers whoever I forgot, forgive me. I just want to express my deepest thank you for taking care of my Dad. When it really mattered you told me to come and I am forever grateful
My 61 year old mother fell 6 days ago, and has had a constant headaches and mood swings. She was finally able to speak to her doctor today who urged her to immediately go to the ER for fear of a slow bleed in her brain.nHospital has categorized her as least risk and she sat there for more than 13 hours and left. She is so sore from being in a seated position for so long she requires assistance to get up. We’d be better off with private healthcare here at this point!
