Came back about 3 times over my two day visit. You have to try this place. Sweet potato fruits were perfect, burgers were awesome. Breakfast was a great start to the day!
We loved the Modern Peasant! The food was incredible, fois gras, Bacchus Salad, Profeterole and drinks were delicious. John the owner and chef’s service was above and beyond. We cannot wait to come back again!

We walked off the ferry and walked into the Modern Peasant. Good move. Engaging owner/chef; fantastic food at reasonable prices. We're already looking forward to another ferry trip -but this time for the dinner menu. Highly recommended.
good size portions. fries were extremely salty. First few bites delicious, but quickly became too much salt and grease. Friendly staff.
