Ordered a couple of desserts here while visiting Halifax. We got the chocolate torte and peanut butter pie. Both were amazing. Portion were neither too big or small. And they weren't very sweet. In a good way. Nicely balanced flavours. Good place to go if you're looking to sit down and satisfy those dessert cravings.
My friend was super excited to go here. I found the desserts we ordered were okay. Did not really like the carrot cake which is apparently the best seller but I also in general don’t like carrot cake. The toffee pudding was good but make sure you have lots of people to share it with otherwise it is way too heavy
The atmosphere was amazing, the bartender was kind and has a good amount of bar flair which made it seem like he knew what he was doing. My only real concern with this location is the prices on their website don't match their menus! Everything is about ~$2 more expensive than what is listed. I got two drinks which were both wonderful albeit a tad pricey. Also got the pulled pork sliders which were DELICIOUS-- but only bite-sized! I expected a bit more for $12. The sweet potato soup was also lovely. I'll definitely have to be back to sample some desserts and try some more of their extensive cocktail menu.
Cocktails are amazing and the dessert is so good. Great place for a hot chocolate and cake. Food was so good I couldn't even wait long enough to take a photo before taking a biteFood: 5/5
Big dessert portion for 1 person- better to be shared by 2 people. Ambiance is quite casual. A bit pricey for one person at a casual spot; reasonable if split between 2 people. They do open late so that’s a plus.
The desserts here were phenomenal. I ordered the chocolate lava cake and my partner ordered the carrot cake. Both were amazing. I don't remember the name of the drink we got, but it was also great. The atmosphere was nice and the was fine. It was really, really expensive. I don't know if I'll be back because of the price. There are other fancy dessert places nearby that are significantly cheaper and just as amazing.
We couldn’t get dessert when we went for dinner but found the middle spoon and it was just what we were looking for. Chocolate lava cake was delightful and peanut butter pie looked pretty damn good too!
Delightful little spot in downtown Halifax, only steps away from Pizza Corner. With the feel of a speakeasy, the dessert menu is extensive and varied. Cocktails other customers were drinking looked interesting, but we ordered coffee to go with our delicious and decadent brownie fudge pie. Yummy ! Service was pleasant and attentive as well. Wish we had a place like this in our neighborhood...
Lava cake was amazing. We also had lemon pavlova, chocolate torte and New York cheesecake
Absolutely great place to go. The food menu is not extensive, but what they have is incredibly delicious! The desserts are some of the best I've ever had. On top of that the staff is extremely helpful and friendly.
