Absolutely amazing!! We ordered a full selection of dishes and proteins. Burrito, Enchiladas, Quesadilla, Chips, and Churros. Had their beef, pork, chicken, and a veggie option. Everything was so so good! To top it all off the vibe of the restaurant was great and the service couldn’t have been better! Thanks to The Mexican Hat! And to anyone reading this do yourself a favour a check it out, you’ll be happy you did.
We are in Medicine Hat this weekend for a hockey tournament. After reading the many positive reviews we decided to try The Mexican Hat. Food, service and price exceeded our expectations. Ingredients were fresh and as authentic as Mexican food gets in Canada. The owners are super friendly, personable and very customer centric. This will be our ‘go to’ spot next time we are in town. We had enchiladas and quesadillas. Portions were great!
Not the easiest place to find if you are from out of town but we’ll worth it. Staff very friendly and informative. Place is clean and looks very Mexican. Service was great food was delicious. Will be back!!
The owners speak fluent Spanish and the food is as excellent and perfect as it is in Mexico! As close to athentic as it can be for being so far away from Mexico. Guaranteed to fill you up and leave you wanting to come back again!Food: 5/5
One of the best restaurants in Alberta, not in Edmonton nor Calgary but right in Medicine Hat! You can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. In fact it’s such a great restaurant that I’m tempted to ask for something off-menu, that’s how consistently good the food is from The Mexican Hat. You’ll be greeted warmly as you enter by the lovely hostess and she’ll also be your waitress/server. All the hot sauces are great. This place is not your typical “faux-Mexican” this is authentic Mexican so you’ll enjoy the heat!
Easily our go-to restaurant in Medicine Hat! Jasmine and her staff are always warm and welcoming, treating us like family. The food is consistently delicious with big portions. Best authentic Mexican food in the city and surrounding area by far.
First time trying, my wife and I ordered and picked up, amazing, it was fast, and tasted great, gave three different choices for heat, and the homemade guacamole was incredible. Even threw in some free churros which capped it off nicely. Will definitely be going back.
The food is good and the service is amazing. They make you feel welcome and go beyond what a regular restaurant will do for you. I am always in Medicina Hat for business and I make my stop there everytime So they gave me an extra coffe for the road as they remember I was not from town. Really recommended this place.Food: 5/5
Friendly service. The food was good
Very authentic Mexican cuisine! Tried one of each taco and they were very fresh and tasty. The salsa bar seems like it would have quite a selection, however most of the bowls were empty, and it was a bit disappointing. The prices were comparable to most other small restaurants, and the food quantities were appropriate for the price.
