The girl was very nice and provided great service The Pecan carmel apple was great
Unless you're a huge fan of rude service you probably just want to steer clear of this place. Any business can have a bad day every once in a while but after four unpleasant visits in a row, it seems like rude service is the norm rather than the exception. There's another candy store about two stores away on the other side of the street, I can't remember the name, but it was a refreshingly pleasant and fun experience the treats were awesome as well compared to The McCall Candy Company.
Wow. Customer service was great! I bought caramels and some Jordan almonds. The cashier said that because all the caramels weren't all the same size she wasn't charging me for all 6. Also, I had a bag of Jordan almonds, and some were broken. She gave me another handful of almonds free of charge. Definitely went above and beyond for me! I will be back because I was so impressed with the service
I went in the store today and spent about thirty minutes just talking with the staff. She was such a sweetheart and I was truly able to connect with her. I one hundred percent recommend visiting this store if you're in mccall. You will always receive above and beyond the service you're expecting.
As is with all candy companies a great stop when you're visiting new cities. The Huckleberry bark is fantastic! The truffles were good, the cherry cream chocolates that I had were phenomenal! Great place to stop and get a few trinkets for the kids or for yourself. My family members did enjoy the chocolate dipped licorice!!
Bought a blue bunny cake cone and as I ate it I discovered gooey areas in the ice cream that had a funny texture. My wife said it was bad. I threw it away. We live in Arizona and blue bunny ice cream is sold in the grocery stores. Nothing special just cheap ice cream. We should have stood in line at alley ice cream But I didn’t want to wait. Do yourself a favor and skip this candy store. The chocolate was flakey and old too.
We always buy here especially the Carmel apples. We stopped here today Sept 19 2019 for a couple Carmel apples and they were the worst ever! The Carmel feel off in dry hunk and was sugary.....not gooey the way they should be. Never will return!
I first bought fudge here last year after hearing about it for years. The fudge selection is diverse but expensive. I got peanut butter chocolate, Maple nut, and just a classic fudge. It was awful. Hard and dry. Old tasting. Had an aftertaste. Tried the shop again yesterday Nov. 4, 2016. Looked at the fudge which still looks dry to me and stared clear of it. I got four mint chocolate dipped oreos for a couple of my kids. They liked them. I bought three pieces of toffee. They were okay. Better than a Score bar but not as good as I make it. I also bought two caramels for my husband. He ate part of one and didn't want the rest. Grainy texture and aftertaste. I won't be buying any more of their candy again. Not worth my money.
The candy and ice cream selection is amazing. But I will say customer service is awful. Sadly to say the staff is a bunch of little teenagers who don't know how to smile or be friendly or greet customers. They need more people who can make a difference in the community given its such an awesome candy store. Customer service is everything especially in a small town.
There is a wide variety of candies here, an okay variety of fudge, honestly, I didnt look at the ice cream selection. The fudge and candy are priced by the pound and you can mix and match your flavors. Also, you can sample the fudge before you buy it. We had a pretty good experience. They were patient with my choosing each individusl candy.
