The Maq Hotel

This hotel had an ideal location, being right in the heart of town in Tofino, however the actual rooms were less than ideal for the price. The common areas appeared to have been started to be renovated with newer flooring, etc. but our room had mold in the shower and bathroom walls/ceilings due to not having proper ventilation, the finishes were very dated, etc. That being said, the location can't be beat. Just don't have high expectations for the actual rooms for the price is the recommendation I would give.

Hotel has cold beer and wine store...friendly staff butt could definitely use lower prices and higher selection knowing the govt store is a 1 min walk away

It's an older hotel ...nicely re-done ...new flooring throughout... room's are very clean and staff is friendly , courteous and very polite.rooms could use a refrigerator but a community fridge is provided for guests in the lounge ..a very reasonably priced Hotel..all in all we enjoyed our stay here

Very simple hotel, but everything is tide and clean, very friendly staff, great location and good price. Check in at 4pm is late considering how long to take from Vancouver to Tofino. You can see the sunset from there, which is just amazing.

No A/C. No elevators. No sheets or blankets provided for the air mattress we requested for an overnight guest(had to request it). Parking was limited. No easy access to ice machine.
