Food quality is pretty great for such a rural location, but their kitchen is frustratingly slow. Even when not busy, expect to wait 45min to 1.5 hours for your food. They could do so much better with faster service and therefore more turnover. It shouldn't take that long to cook a pasta dish or a burger. Menu prices are fair, and again the food quality was a pleasant surprise for such a location. Luckily there's not much to do in town after 6pm so waiting isn't too bad - but be careful if you've hiked all day and are starving!
Don’t just drive by, looks can be deceiving. Not your typical roadside menu. The chef creates a nice mixture of cultures. The pork loin chop with a delicious chipotle raspberry compote was amazing. Incredible staff. Friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended
Been driving through Whitney for nearly 10 years and finally decided to stop for the first time. Glad I did. The service is wonderful and the dishes are delicious and considerately plated. Altogether, The Mad Musher creates a wholesome dining experience that has been difficult to find since COVID. Looking forward to making this stop a regular one in my travels.
Convenient stop for traveller's and a clear favorite for many! Food was on point and prepared for us so quickly and daily features were lovely. Staff serves with a smile! Also, the walls are lined with beautiful artwork, which is also for sale.

Very close to Algonquin which was where we were spending most of our time. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was very nice and helpful. Food was really good.Rooms: 3/5
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. The decor is entirely of gorgeos local art also for sale. The food is very good. I had chicken caprese with pasta, my companions had salmon dinner, and lime cilantro chicken kebabs. All were delicious. It was maybe a little thin on vegetables but that's only minor complaint. We also picked up some boxes of very interesting locally made teas. Service was a little on the slow side, but we weren't in a hurry so that was fine for us.
Perfect place to go to before or after a camping trip. Great beer and pub food options. Friendly service too!
On a snowmobile trip with friends. Made some great memories at the Mad Musher! It's about the meat lovers pizza and caesars. We appreciate the small town service!
One of our favourite places to stop while sledding. Staff is great, food is great, atmosphere is great. Much better then the "other" place in town.. Thanks for the hospitality.
