Had a good experience at this restaurant. Food was prompt and tasted very good. I ordered the medium poached eggs on the salmon locks with the bagel and just absolutely loved it. The sweetness of the sauce combined with the dill and other spices brought it to another level.
The Mad Hen has pretty extensive menu and a nice outdoor seating area to enjoy the sunshine whilst having our brunch. We had a couple of benedict, an omelette, Hash and calamari to share. They were all pretty good, I particularly enjoyed the Beachcomber's Omelette, Benny with Crab Cakes and the calamari! Loved the Benny with crab cake and avocado, a good mix, very delicious. Beachcomber's Omelette was a substantial portion filled with veg and smoked Salmon. Will definitely go back again on my next visit to Gibsons!
This was the last meal we had before leaving the Sunshine Coast and I'm very glad we did. This place has a great atmosphere, aesthetic and vibe and the food is delicious. We both had variations of eggs Benny and they were fantastic. We ate at the bar and it was really cool to see all the staff at work, and how clean everything is! They take care of their stations and equipment very well. If you are going to have breakfast out here, this is the place to go!
Delicious Breakfast, friendly hardworking ladies here for sure! Can't wait to come back and try lunch and their milkshakes. A bit of a wait to get in but worth it in my opinion. Would recommend!
What a fantastic breakfast experience! Ambiance, attentive service, tasty food and selection were excellent. Outside the building looks very modest but once inside a we found a beautiful execution of retro-diner meets rustic Sunshine Coast.
It took a while for us to get a table and it's a shame they don't take reservations. We had Omlette and Benny which were delicious and the service was great.
Came here on a weekday and we had to wait a bit but no big deal as it’s small. Went for a coffee down the street. We ordered a calamari to start then salmon Benny with salad and a poutine. Portions a tad on the small side. Dessert we had a milkshake and banana split.
Stopped in for brunch and sat on the patio. Had traditional and crab cake bennies. They have a kid's menu. Small water dish for the pup.
Food and coffee was good, music was good, washroom was clean. I recommend the crab cake benny. Alina is the backbone of this restaurant.
Very cool brunch spot! The staff were super lovely and friendly. Interior was really neat and I loved the music/ambiance/atmosphere. Can't remember my server's name blonde? With really really great nails? but she was very sweet and seemed like a team player, along with everyone else. It was the perfect cure after my Saturday night.
