The Lord's Cupboard of Jefferson County, Iowa, is committed to filling the needs of our community's hungry (clients) by serving as a collection site for community donations of food and cash, and by securing through purchase enough food so as to adequately meet those needs on a basis as determined by the board.
The Cupboard's mission is to inspire and involve the community in the gathering of food and monetary donations as well as to seek support of community members to distribute that food in an appropriate and fair manner as ordained by the Board.
Our "clients" are either self-identified or qualified and referred by the local office of the Iowa Department of Human Services. Repeat visits to the Cupboard by our clients are qualified by that same office.
